If you’re missing Disney a little extra today, a Disney-themed DIY may be the answer!
Walt Disney World’s Marathon Weekend just wrapped up, and we’re lacing our shoes up for runDisney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend from February 21st-24th. But while we wait, this Goofy DIY will add some character to our running shoes!
Here’s everything you need to know to make these super cute Goofy shoe charms!
Supplies
- Printable Plastic Shrink Paper
- Parchment Paper
- (1) Handheld Hole Punch
- (1) Pair of Scissors
- (1) Baking Sheet
- PRINTABLE themed shoe charm image
Instructions
Step 1: Download and print the Virtual Goofy’s Race & a Half Challenge-inspired shoe charm image onto the printable plastic shrink paper.
Step 2: Preheat your oven to warm up to 350 degrees.
Step 3: Cut out each charm image along the outline — make sure to cut off all the black lines. You can print out and make as many as you’d like!
Step 4: Once you’ve cutout all your pieces, use a hole puncher to punch out the black circles on each side, now leaving a space for you to pull your shoelaces through.
Step 5: Place no more than 3-4 charms on a baking sheet and bake them for 3 minutes.
Step 6: Once they have shrunk down, pull out of the oven and let cool completely.
Step 7: Now decorate your shoes in true GOOFY style!
This quick and colorful DIY will add a pop of Disney to your marathon attire (or your normal tennis shoes). Stay tuned to DFB for even more DIYs!
