The United States is set to issue new requirements for domestic and international travel.
The White House has announced a new Executive Order on Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel that mandates both a required quarantine for international travelers and mask mandates during air travel and more.
The executive order indicates that masks are required — effective immediately — in airports, commercial aircraft, trains, public maritime vessels (including ferries), intercity bus services, and all forms of public transportation.
Earlier this week, the U.S. instituted a negative COVID-19 test requirement for international travelers. International travelers are now also “required to comply with other applicable CDC guidelines concerning international travel, including recommended periods of self-quarantine or self-isolation after entry into the United States.”
The specific details of the mask mandate, test mandate, and quarantine mandate are still under review and must be presented to the President in the coming weeks. At this time, the CDC recommends a quarantine of 7 days with a negative test after international travel.
These mandates apply to all travelers, whether they are U.S. citizens or not, and may affect your Disney plans if you are traveling from an international location. As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news.
