Things are looking a little different over at Magic Kingdom at Disney World today!
The Rivers of America, the Liberty Square Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island have been under refurbishment since last fall and we’ve slowly been seeing some construction progress, although the refurbishment did get extended.
Back in October, we noticed that the water level of the Rivers of America was lower than normal, but eventually, we saw the rivers completely drained. This is what it looked like:
The refurbishment continued throughout the holidays and into the New Year. But we recently saw a lot of new progress being made over on Tom Sawyer Island, suggesting that the work might be completed soon.
But something has DEFINITELY changed as of today because the Rivers of America are getting filled with water again!
What a difference the water makes, right? It brings this whole area to life!
And we will no longer have to stare into a dry riverbed full of trucks and construction equipment!
The walk over to Haunted Mansion is about to become scenic again, too.
It’s always exciting to see a lengthy refurbishment come close to an end, and we’re happy to see the water back!
That also means that we might expect to see the Liberty Square Riverboat back soon, too! We’ll be back soon with even more photos and let you know of any additional updates!
