It’s the end of another busy week at Magic Kingdom!
While at Magic Kingdom yesterday, we spotted some pretty low wait times, construction progress on the Rivers of America, and even some new merch! Let’s take a look.
Magic Kingdom Construction Update
Rivers of America
The construction at Rivers of America continues.
The water has been drained from the area for quite some time, but yesterday, we spotted that it had been partially refilled.
At this time, the guiding tracks for the Liberty Square Riverboat are still visible.
Themed signs apologize for the “ruckus” as construction continues.
The Liberty Square Riverboat has been temporarily closed while this work takes place. We’ll let you know as soon as we have details about its return.
Take a closer look at Rivers of America being refilled here!Â
Main Street Train Station
Meanwhile, Main Street train station remains covered in scrim, as the Walt Disney World Railroad is still temporarily closed.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted with updates on the Railroad’s return.

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
Tomorrowland Light and Power Co.
Over at Tomorrowland Light and Power Co (aka the Space Mountain gift shop), we found a new Space Mountain-themed towel!
The towel is a cool blue and white and features a design of the famous exterior to Space Mountain.
It costs $29.99.
Main Street USA
Meanwhile, on Main Street, we spotted the New Year’s Mickey balloons.
They even light up!
We were previously told these balloons would be available only on New Year’s Day, but we’re happy to see them back!

Magic Kingdom Crowd Update
Crowds remained low in Magic Kingdom yesterday, as the walkway to Cinderella Castle had few guests on it.
Wait times were similarly low, with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 15 minutes…
…Splash Mountain at 20 minutes…
…the Tomorrowland Speedway at 5 minutes…
…and the Space Mountain entrance nearly empty!
We’ve seen the parks pretty quiet most days since the holidays, so we’re not too surprised that the crowds are still low.

That’s all for our Magic Kingdom update! Stay tuned to DFB for more food, attraction, and construction news around the parks.
