There are so many updates coming out of Disney World that it’s hard to keep track! But, rest assured, we’re tracking all the Disney updates daily so that we can bring them all to you!
Last month, we learned that the pool at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa would be closing this winter for refurbishment. And, there’s more pool refurbishments coming to Disney World — this time at Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
Pop Century is one of the value resorts at Walt Disney World and is one of the stops for the Disney Skyliner. If you’re planning to stay at this hotel during your upcoming visit and want to take a dip in the pool you’ll need to plan ahead. The Hippy Dippy Pool will be closing from February 15th through early March 2021 for maintenance work.
During this time, guests may see or hear construction but Disney noted that construction noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9AM. So, your slumber shouldn’t be interrupted.
Smaller pools located around the resort will remain open so you can still cool off on a sunny winter day in Florida. We’ll have more updates on construction and a potential reopening date as things develop.

How will sleep not be interrupted if they are working from dusk to 9am ( that means its night time, and people sleep during that time.)
DFB Sarah says
Alison, Disney didn’t say they’d be doing construction during those hours (or specify hours of work at all), just that guests shouldn’t hear noise during those hours. I am having the editorial team revisit the post.

Wasn’t this pool just closed for refurbishment a little over a year ago? We were there January, 2020 & it was closed at that point, water drained, cement being jack-hammered, etc.
Han Solo says
Wasn’t this pool refurbished last year at the same time?
Yvonne says
I agree with Berne. We were there last year during a refurbishing also . How often do they do this!
