If you’re “walkin’ right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.” in Magic Kingdom today, you may notice that things look a bit different.
To your left from the park’s entrance stands Engine Co. 71, and typically you can step inside this Town Square Fire Station. But that’s not currently the case… .
The Fire Station is closed for the moment, with the entrance completely sealed.
This closure of the building goes hand in hand with the ending of the long-running Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom experience in the park. You see, the Fire Station served as the Recruitment Center where guests could start their Sorcerers gaming adventure.
Aside from serving as the Recruitment Center, the Firehouse also displays donated patches from firehouses near and far (which you can see on the right in the photo above).
We don’t know how long the Firehouse will remain closed, or what’s in store for the building moving forward. But you can bet we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled and keeping you posted! To learn more about the ending of the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom experience, you can click here.

Its getting to where there is more closed in this park than open, its really becoming an embarrassment. tomorrowland especially. They just dont know what they are doing anymore and thats really sad.

Yes we always stop at the fire station on either the way into the park or on our way out never miss it. To be honest we are west cosat Disneyand family. I first was taken to Disneyland in 1964 and have seen lots of changes to the park but to this day always stop at the fire station. We have been to Disney World once before and of course we stopped at the fire station and we are returning to Disneyworld the end of April for a 11 day stay with 2 of our grand kids. And yes we will stop at the fire station as long as it is open
