There is quite a lot of construction going on all around Walt Disney World, and especially over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
The guests rooms at the hotel are getting a Moana-inspired makeover, and we’ve seen some massive construction going on at the Great Ceremonial House and monorail station as part of the refurbishments. Now, part of the pool area at the hotel will be closing soon for a bit of refurbishment as well.
According to the Disney World website, Kiki Tikis Splash Play Area at the Polynesian “will be closed while it undergoes refurbishment from February through March 2021.” While Kiki Tikis is unavailable, guests will still be able to enjoy the Lava Pool and slide, as well as the Oasis Pool.
This isn’t the only pool area refurbishment we’ve seen announced recently at Disney World. Some refurbishment is also going on at the Paddock Pool at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, the Hippy Dippy Pool at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is set to undergo refurbishment soon, the Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will be undergoing refurbishment through early April, and the water play area at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is also under refurbishment.
If you’ll be heading to Disney World soon, be sure to check the refurbishment schedule for your hotel to see if any of its pool areas will be unavailable during this time. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we find!
The PeopleMover refurbishment has been extended AGAIN. Click here to check out the details.
