Located in Disney Springs, Gideon’s Bakehouse is home to some of our favorite desserts of all-time!
Gideon’s is known for their massive (and DELICIOUS) cookies, as well as other incredible snacks like cake and cold brew coffee. And we’re not the only ones with a serious love for these sweet treats!
Since their soft opening in late 2020, guests have been flocking to Gideon’s to satisfy their cravings. In order to keep the physical line from getting too long, Gideon’s has implemented a virtual queue.
The virtual queue sends guests a text with an estimated wait time, as well as a follow-up text when it’s time for them to return. The demand for Gideon’s has remained high since the opening, and the location has been keeping a close eye on the traffic patterns.
Today, Gideon’s posted an update regarding queue expectations to their Instagram Story. And if you want to snag a dessert from Gideon’s on your next trip, you’ll definitely want to check it out!
The update states that after observing regular traffic patterns, guests can expect the virtual queue to close around 7PM each day. This will both minimize the chance that guests will be turned away after already obtaining a spot in the queue and allow the location to close on time.
If you want to snag a cookie from Gideon’s Bakehouse (and trust us, they’re worth the wait!) be sure to arrive earlier in the day to increase your shot of snagging a place in the virtual queue! We’ll keep an eye out for any additional updates, so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for all the latest news!

We got in last week ivia virtual que we arrived around 3 pm snd joined the list. Got a text around 6:30 to come back We were having dinner at Raglan Road do they advised me yo text back still st dinner And would hold my spot online however when I got back online my name is no longer the list but luckily the young woman remembered me from earlier when I had stopped by to let them know we would be next-door having dinner.
All in all the experience was pleasant we did manage to get some cookies however honestly I wasn’t impressed the peanut butter cookie wasn’t baked through and the chocolate chip cookie was overly salty however it was an experience did it once probably won’t do it again

Does this mean we can’t go to Gideon’s after the parks close?

We got in the virtual queue Sunday and it was a 5 1/2 hour wait (6:20 PM) so we walked around a bit then went to our hotel (Riviera). At 5:00 we decided to drive over to the Springs and wait for the text. Unfortunately Disney Springs hit capacity and all parking was blocked by sheriff’s vehicles. Bye-bye cookies.
So we went Monday morning at 9:00 and got in line that wrapped around Morimoto’s and past Homecoming. But we avoided the virtual queue.
