Today’s a very special day for candy fans and chocolate lovers alike since the M&M’s Store has officially opened in Disney Springs! (We’ll pause for a round of applause.)
We’ve already been grabbing a whole bunch of merchandise, BUT we couldn’t leave the M&M’s Store without giving you a look at the crème de la crème of the chocolate-themed atmosphere.
Prior to the M&M’s Store opening, we were already keeping an eye on its speedy construction in Disney Springs. As the front of the building started to receive decorations, like giant M&M’s, Disney also gave us a sneak peek at some of the treats that would be inside the store. On top of the Mickey and Minnie M&M’s available to guests, personalized M&M’s would be available to make for fans of all ages!
And, we’re here to give you a full tutorial on how to design your very own personalized M&M’s at the new store!
Guests can choose between photos, icons, and texts to put on their M&M’s! You can have four M&M’s designs that will be featured in the bag of treats.

The text allows you to write a sweet message on two lines of the M&M’s…
…while the photo option gives guests an opportunity to upload a picture from their phones after scanning the QR code on the screen! Just be sure that your photo has a simple background, good lighting, and only one or two faces for the best M&M’s quality.
Plus, there’s a whole array of icons to choose from, including Disney Parks, Disney Princesses, Mickey and Friends, sports teams and more. There are TONS of symbols to choose from! Of course, we had to shake things up with the DFB logo and other fun park designs.
After you’ve designed your M&M’s, you’ll get to choose what packaging you would like to place your new treats inside to take home!
The options range from $19.98 to $44.98 with different sized bags, cups, tubes, gift boxes, and even a commemorative wine bottle (sounds like the perfect romantic gift for Valentine’s Day around the corner!).

Once you’ve chosen what container you’d like for your M&M’s (we went with the small 10 oz bulk bag)…
…you’ll be able to pick out of an array of over 25 colors for your M&M’s for the perfect mix of vibrant treats!
After using the kiosk, it will give you a card with your personalization on it. Then a Cast Member will help create the M&M’s for you!
As we waited for our bag of M&M’s, the personalization portion took a short five minutes, while the wait was longer at around an hour since the store was busy during its grand opening.
It’s important to note that you can only get one of your designs with a photo, so you’ll want to be sure to follow the directions accordingly when you choose your image. We experienced a small glitch with our own photo, so be make sure to upload your preferred picture the first time and don’t try to change it afterwards.
TA-DA! We received our finished product with the amazing help of Cast Member, Alvs!
We got the “Ocean Mix” M&M’s to match the color scheme of our logo and site…
…which POPPED with shades of white, blue, and teal.

I am so glad it’s open. I really want to get some personalized ones for my boyfriend for Valentines’ Day, but shipping from the M&M’s site is outrageous. Now this will be easier.
