It’s the most romantic time of the year at Disney World!
And we’re covering every single Valentine’s Day treat we can find! No, really – EVERY SINGLE ONE. From Dole Whip Valentine’s Swirls to Cinnamon Candy Cupcakes, we’re on a quest to find the Tastiest of Them All. But we’re just getting started!Â
So what’s next in our Valentine’s Day feast? It’s the Valentine’s Cupcake (original name there, right?) that can be found at Restaurantosaurus and Flame Tree Barbecue in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s a chocolate cupcake with a soft milk chocolate ganache filling, vanilla buttercream, and a Simba and Nala white chocolate coin.
The cupcake was pretty tricky to cut into — we’re not sure if that was because it was refrigerated or because we ate it on a chilly day! The buttercream frosting was hard and the ganache, which is supposed to be soft, stuck to our knife.
We weren’t super big fans of the chocolate cake, either! It wasn’t very moist and lacked a lot of flavor. We’ve had better, like Animal Kingdom’s cherry chocolate cupcake.
This cupcake looks fun, but it’s lacking something special. Kiddos may love this one, though — it’s simple and heavy on the icing.
This cupcake is $5.99 and is available from now through March 1st. Stay tuned because we’ll be reviewing all the special Valentine’s Day treats at Disney World here at DFB!
