Recently, we’ve noticed a LOT of rides in Disney World going down for long periods of time.
Whether this is a few hours, a whole day, or about a year (we’re looking at you PeopleMover!!!), these closures totally affect your day in Disney World. And during our visit to Magic Kingdom today, we noticed that a classic Disney boat ride was down!
We noticed on the My Disney Experience app that Pirates of the Caribbean had been marked as closed all day, so we went to see what was up. When we arrived several Cast Members were standing outside, and we got an alert through the app that Cast Members were working to get the attraction up and running.
In the meantime, Cast Members added some hopscotch to the ground as entertainment…
…plus a pirate flag made out of tape! Talk about making the best of the situation!
Hopefully, the attraction will be up and available to guests tomorrow and we will keep you updated on the situation. We’re really hoping it isn’t a Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster situation where the ride is closed for FIVE days straight! Stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news.
