We have more refurbishment news to share with you!
We’ve received loads of refurbishment announcements over the last few days! But as a recently redone dining location reopens, another one will be closing.
Rose and Crown Dining Room is a cozy table-service restaurant where you can grab British eats like Shepherd’s Pie or sip on an Imperial Pint — and it tends to be one of our EPCOT favorites! Connected to the main dining room is a pub that serves Pub Blends and a smaller selection of food.
Yesterday, we confirmed with a Cast Member that Rose and Crown Dining Room will temporarily close for refurbishment from February 15th through early spring.
Now, Disney has updated their website to reflect the closure.
The Pub and Yorkshire County Fish Shop will remain open, so you can still get your Fish & Chips fix and enjoy some brews.
Rose and Crown is just the next on a long list of upcoming refurbishments. Magic Kingdom’s Mad Tea Party and Swiss Robinson Treehouse, areas of Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and more are all expecting construction — as the PeopleMover remains closed for almost a year.
Hopefully you’ll be able to get back to this table-service meal in no time! Until then, stayed tuned to DFB for more Disney news and updates!

One of my favorite places to eat!! I hope it’s open when I’m in WDW In May!!!

So glad I have reservations that same weekend before closing. Lucky me lol

So disappointed!!! They couldn’t have done this while the park was closed? Daughter wanted her birthday dinner there. We always eat there when at Disney, going back to the opening if Epcot with my parents. Getting quite concerned about food for our March visit. Beginning to sound like huge hassle to get meals both in hotel and at parks. Let’s not get into no Disney Dining Plans😡

Oh no! I’m becoming gladder that I moved our WDW trip from May to December 2021. This has been a constant every trip since it opened and it just wouldn’t be the same without it. That headline had me really worried at first glance. Whew!

We used to look forward to trying the different restaurants at WDW. Now it’s a hassle as the prices remain the same but the selection of dishes are dismal. We ate at Hollywood & Vine last week. It’s no longer a buffet but the cost is still $55 per adult. So not worth it. My piece of prime rib was mostly fat. The Skipper Canteen in MK has also pared down their menu. Char sui pork and rice with a few strings of bok choy cost over $30. We’ve eaten at these places before and the food had always been good and plenty. Disney seems to be loosing a lot of its magic. I am glad that I was able to see and enjoy the ‘old’ Disney.
