Hello from Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We spent a day walking around the park to see what’s new! So here are all the latest updates!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Creature Comforts
Valentine’s Day treats have arrived at Disney World, and we tried the new Valentine’s Day Cupcake at Creature Comforts. This is a  chocolate cupcake with cherry filling topped with vanilla frosting, and with a zebra-striped heart.
We thought this was a pretty tasty cupcake, although we think the one we got might have been sitting in the refrigerated case a little too long — the icing was harder than it should’ve been. You can try it out for yourself for $5.99. It’s available through March 1st.

But that’s not the only Valentine’s Day treat we tried at Creature Comforts. We also checked out the Valentine’s Day Brownie. This is a chocolate brownie topped with strawberry mousse, with pink, red, and white heart sprinkles. And it’s got fun chocolate Mickey ears, too!
The brownie part of this snack is very dense, and the strawberry mousse was our favorite part! It’s available now for $5.49 for a limited time!

Flame Tree Barbecue
But that was just the beginning of our dive into Valentine’s Day snacks at Animal Kingdom. We also tried out a Valentine’s Day Lion King Cupcake! This one, which is also available at Restaurantosaurus is a chocolate cupcake with a soft milk chocolate ganache filling, vanilla buttercream, and a Simba and Nala white chocolate coin. Â
This cupcake was a little tricky to cut into because the buttercream frosting was a little hard and the ganache stuck to our knife. We’re not sure if that’s because the cupcake was refrigerated or because it was cold out! We also didn’t think the chocolate cupcake had a lot of flavor. But feel free to try it out for yourself for $5.99 — it’s available through March 1st.

Restaurantosaurus
This isn’t EXACTLY a food update, but it is about a dining location! And although we might not normally get excited about new trash cans, the new ones at Restaurantosaurus have a special purpose! There are three in all — a regular trash can, a composting trash can, and a recycling can.
These trash cans will help Disney with its new plan to make more things for itself in the parks. For example, did you know that the chairs at Restaurantosaurus are actually made from recycled materials?! So cool!
