We have good news over in Magic Kingdom today!
When Rivers of America was drained last fall, the Liberty Belle Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island closed with it. Signs apologized for all the “ruckus” as construction took place. But after months of refurbishment, the water is back and smooth sailing is ahead.
That’s right — the Liberty Belle Riverboat is back on the water! In Magic Kingdom today, we spotted folks onboard enjoying the Frontierland views and making sure everything is ship-shape. Er…riverboat-shape.
Now, the riverboat is still closed so guests are not boarding for a quick cruise today. A small group of Disney employees were riding along.
Disney World’s refurbishment calendar shows BOTH the Liberty Belle Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island reopening tomorrow. It sure is nice to see this beautiful boat cruising along and getting ready for guests once again!
We’re happy we get to enjoy these two attractions again soon. As always, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news and updates!
