Disney has quite a few attractions that will be closed next week!
Here at DFB, we’re keeping you posted on every Disney refurbishment so you know what to expect when you visit. Let’s take a look at everything that will be closed from February 15th through February 21st, 2021!
Magic Kingdom Refurbishments
Hall of Presidents
The Hall of Presidents is a show that features every United States president in the form of an animatronic. Every time a new president is elected, the attraction will close for refurbishment so the new addition — President Joe Biden, in this case — can be installed.
The attraction closed this January, and no reopening date has been announced yet. We’ll let you know as soon as it is!

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
The PeopleMover has been closed since spring 2020. It did not reopen with Magic Kingdom in July, and the reopening date has been pushed back multiple times since then.
The PeopleMover is currently scheduled to reopen on March 1st, 2021. We recently saw the attraction being tested, so we hope we’ll all get to ride our favorite highway in the sky again soon!

Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad remains closed while TRON: Lightcycle Run construction continues. The iconic train has been shuttered since December 2018 — that’s over 2 years!
We’re not sure how much longer we’ll have to wait, either. TRON construction will likely have to make some hefty progress before the train can reopen — and it may not be finished until 2022. We’ll let you know as we receive more updates!

Animal Kingdom Refurbishments
Kali River Rapids
Kali River Rapids has been closed for refurbishment since early January 2020. It’s common to see water rides go down for routine maintenance in the winter, as fewer guests ride in the cold weather.
The raft ride is scheduled to be closed through April 2nd, 2021.

EPCOT Refurbishments
Rose and Crown Dining Room
Rose and Crown Dining Room in EPCOT’s United Kingdom pavilion will be closing for refurbishment on February 15th. Although the Dining Room will be unavailable, the Pub will remain open. Guests can also get their British food fix at Yorkshire County Fish Shop.
As of now, the refurbishment is scheduled to last through early spring. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more!

Disney World Resort Refurbishments
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is seeing some big construction! The entrance and lobby are being refurbished, as is the monorail station — which remains temporarily closed. The guest rooms will also receive a Moana-inspired makeover!
In addition, Kiki Tikis Splash Play Area is closed for refurbishment. Kiki Tikis is expected to reopen in March 2021, while the rest of the resort should be transformed by this summer.
Some resort pools are also undergoing changes. The Paddock Pool waterslide at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa and the Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are both being refurbished. The Big Blue Pool is expected to reopen in early April 2021, and the Paddock Pool will remain open throughout the construction.
Additionally, the Hippy Dippy Pool at Disney’s Pop Century Resort will close on February 15th for maintenance work.
The refurbishment is expected to last through early March, and Pop Century’s other pools will remain open for guest use.

Upcoming refurbishments to keep on your radar include the Mad Tea Party, which will be closed February 22nd through March 4th, and the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, which will be closed March 12th through March 25th, 2021.
