Yesterday, we took a trip to Disney’s Skyliner resorts to check out what was new.
It was Valentine’s Day, so all the resorts were celebrating with plenty of fun activities! We also saw some new construction and Cast Member costumes. Let’s get started!
Skyliner Resorts Construction Updates
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
We spotted some of Art of Animation’s iconic character pages getting a LITERAL facelift. All of the faces are getting scraped clean off the walls! When we stopped by, Ariel was half gone…
…and Lightning McQueen was completely erased!
Meanwhile, the Big Blue Pool continues its scheduled refurbishment.
It looks like some progress is being made — the area is expected to reopen in early April this year. This resort is certainly busy getting a mini makeover. We’ll keep you posted with any news or changes!

Skyliner Resorts Food Updates
Disney’s Riviera Resort
At Le Petit Cafe in Disney’s Riviera Resort, we found a dessert makeover! We previously found a delicious Valentine’s Day coffee here, but now there’s plenty of desserts, too. There were Hazelnut-Caramel Profiteroles for $6.99…
…Fruit Tarts for $5.99…
A Valentine’s Day seasonal cupcake for $5.99…
…Lemon Cheesecake for $6.99…
…and Milk-Chocolate Ganache Tarts for $6.99. That’s a LOT of festive treats!
And over at Bar Riva, we tried the Amore Dreams cocktail. It’s made with Lavender Syrup, Lemon Juice, Pomegranate Juice, Italicus, Magellan Gin, and a sparkling water base, then garnished with a Lemon and Strawberry Heart.
We were BIG fans of this sweet cocktail. It was $14 and won’t be around long, so go grab it soon if you want to try it!

Skyliner Resorts Additional Updates
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
It seems like Disney is rolling out a bunch of new Cast Member costumes at the resorts. We’ve seen new outfits at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and more. And now, a new look has made it to Art of Animation! These costumes are inspired by Disney animation.
You can find colorful drawings of Timon, Nemo, Lightning McQueen, and more!
We also saw some resort activities taking place at Art of Animation. Cast Members and kids were hard at work on some sand art outside!
Other Valentine’s Day activities included Mickey Tie-Dye, Disney Couples Bingo, and Disney Love Song Trivia.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Some new cast member costumes also debuted at Pop Century! These are inspired by comic pop art.
We love the vibrant dots and bubbles that say “Oh boy!”, “Gawrsh!”, and more.
Valentine’s Day activities were also taking place here. Offerings included Name That Love Song, Cupid’s Crafts, and Cupid Says!
Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s Riviera Resort celebrated Valentine’s Day a little differently: with a scavenger hunt! Guests went on a quest to find some favorite Disney couples by following clues.
We spotted Lady and Tramp over by Le Petit Cafe!
Those who completed the scavenger hunt got a special holiday treat.
Take a Peek at More New Cast Member Costumes!
