Construction has really ramped up this year at Disney World!
EPCOT has already seen a few updates, with more on the way. Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom got a makeover, and several rides are currently in progress. But Disney’s Hollywood Studios might get some work done soon, too!
Disney recently filed some new permits for work at Hollywood Studios. This includes several theaters like the one that houses Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular! The work on this spot is being done by Buena Vista Construction Company (Disney’s internal construction service) with the work listed as “Provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction.”
On the other end of the park, THREE permits have been filed for Fantasmic! buildings including the stage and two support trailers. All three of these permits have the general description of the one over at the Indiana Jones theater, so we’re not quite sure what the work entails.
Could this mean there’s progress in getting some of these shows back up and running? We’re already seeing some entertainment returning to the parks (with the Festival of the Lion King coming back this summer). Nothing has been announced by Disney so time will tell.
Remember these permits are mega vague so they could be for something routine or not. We’ll let you know when we find out for sure!
Heads Up, Your Disney World Castle Photos Might Look a Little MORE Different!
