If you love Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, we’ve got something exciting for you!
There’s just something about the atmosphere of the Yacht Club that makes us feel more relaxed. It could be the fact that we like to stuff our faces with delicious ice cream at Beaches & Cream while we’re visiting or just the sound of the boat’s horn as it takes guests between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Well, we stumbled upon a new souvenir that captures the atmosphere and has some hidden details for dedicated Disney fans!
Over at The Market at Ale & Compass in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, we spotted a new Tervis that lets you take the sea vibes to land. The cup features Mickey and Minnie out for a sail on Crescent Lake with the Yacht Club Resort in the background.
When you get past the fact that it looks like Mickey is sipping on an old-fashioned, you can take in the rest of the lake scenery. “Cast Your Cares Away” is written in the sky…
…and Minnie Mouse is waving hello from her seat on the boat. But the average Disney-goer might miss some of the cooler details hidden in the cup’s design. The boat that they are on is named “Minerva.” Minerva is actually the original name given to Minnie Mouse in the first Mickey Mouse comic strip story “The Gleam” in 1942!
And, there’s another nod to Disney history on the sail. The number 90 is a nod to the year that Disney’s Yacht Club Resort opened on November 5th, 1990!
If you’re a fan of hidden details around Disney World, this is a tumbler you might want to snag! Not only is it practical and cute, but you can show off your Disney history skills whenever someone comments on your cup! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news and updates!
