Who doesn’t want MORE time to spend at Disney World? If you have plans to hit up the parks in early March, we have some good news for you (and possibly bad news…well, not BAD news, but there’s a catch)!
Disney World already extended park hours for the first week of March. Now, some of those hours in the first week are being extended even further, and they’re also beginning to extend some hours in the second week of March, too!
Remember, what does March usually mean? Spring break. Yep, it looks like Disney World could be preparing for those extra crowds to show up in the coming weeks. Let’s take a quick look park-by-park and see what the extended hours are for the first two weeks.
Magic Kingdom
Previously, Magic Kingdom posted daily park hours of 9AM-7PM. Now, those hours are being extended by one hour in the evening to 9AM-8PM from Friday, March 5th and Saturday, March 6th. Sunday, March 7th and Monday, March 8th also have park hours of 9AM-8PM, with an extension of two hours from the previously posted 9AM-6PM. In addition, Magic Kingdom will be open a whopping three hours later, from 9AM-10PM, on Friday, March 12th and Saturday, March 13th.
EPCOT
Over at EPCOT, the previously posted park hours of 11AM-8PM are being extended by one hour in the evening on Saturday, March 6th to 11AM-9PM. In addition, on March 13th EPCOT will remain open for an additional two hours in the evening, with posted hours of 11AM-10PM.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
At Hollywood Studios, the park hours are once again extended slightly in the morning. Previously open from 10AM-7PM the week of March 7th, Hollywood Studios will now be open daily from 9AM-7PM from March 1st through March 13th.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will have a few extra early mornings in the first half of March. Across the board, the park will now open at 8AM daily the week of March 7th. In addition, Animal Kingdom will remain open for an additional two hours in the evening on March 13th, from 8AM-8PM.
As great as it is to have more time to spend in the theme parks, keep in mind that Disney will typically extend hours if they are anticipating crowds. So if you’re heading to Disney World soon, be prepared for longer wait times as well as potentially less elbow room, especially at those pinch points around the parks.
We’ll continue to closely monitor the park hours at Disney World and will let you know as soon as we hear of any additional changes to the calendar!
