PHOTOS: Cinderella Castle Moat DRAINED in Magic Kingdom

We spent a LOVELY day in Disney World’s flagship park yesterday!

Some things are certainly different from the last time we popped into the Magic Kingdom, so we’re bringing you an update with alllll the news in construction and merchandise!

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates

Mad Tea Party

The Mad Tea Party won’t be swirling you around through a wacky soiree for the next few weeks as this beloved attraction is closed for routine maintenance.

No spinning temporarily

Right now, the attraction is listed as reopening on March 5th and we’ll keep an eye out for any changes!

Cinderella Castle

Some work over at the Castle definitely surprised us! The Cinderella Castle Moat is completely DRAINED! We just got the Rivers of America filled again and now the moat is gone?

We’re not sure exactly what work is being done on the moat but you can see that it is almost fully empty.

We’re keeping a close eye on construction so be on the lookout for updates. Disney has also announced an exciting castle overlay for the 50th anniversary. You can read all about it here.

Uptown Jewelers

Now, on to the merchandise! Over at Uptown Jewelers, we spotted the new Skyliner Dooney & Bourke Bag Collection.

Emporium

The Emporium had EXPLODED with merchandise celebrating the upcoming Disney film, Raya and the Last Dragon. We’ve seen most of this merchandise elsewhere but we DID spot a few new things.
