Disney World is the Most Magical Place on Earth, but not everything always goes perfectly.
Sometimes rides break down or have to be evacuated. And today we spotted something unusual right on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom — one of the windows on Main Street was actually broken.
As we were walking down Main Street, U.S.A. this afternoon we spotted something a bit strange — a broken window. You can see that part of the top window to the right-hand side has broken. There is a hole and several cracks in the window.
The window is actually part of the three windows dedicated to Roy E. Disney, Walt Disney’s nephew, and his family. The family were avid sailors which is why they are nautically themed. The window in the center has Roy E. Disney’s name while the windows below feature the names of his wife — Patty — and their kids — Roy Patrick, Abigail, Susan, and Timothy.
The window above Susan and Timothy’s names is the one that has shattered.
If you’re wondering where this is on Main Street, it’s just above the exit door for Main Street Bakery.
Cast Members blocked off the area near this broken window while we were there.
We also saw security go up to the window and then a Cast Member who appeared to be a manager also checked on the window.
We’re not entirely sure what caused this window to break, but we’ll let you know if we find out more information. We expect the window will be quickly repaired, but we will look for any updates on it and let you know what we see.
