The new Orange Bird mural has officially debuted in Magic Kingdom!
This beloved OG character is the mascot for the Sunshine Tree Terrace, home of the famous Citrus Swirl! Earlier today, we shared that a brand-new Orange Bird mural was on its way to Adventureland. Well, we stopped by to take a peek, and sure enough, it’s HERE!
The new mural, designed by Sr. Concept Designer Chris Gardner and painted by artist Abdul Delgado, is located on the side of the Sunshine Tree Terrace building. Looks like this little bird didn’t fly too far from home!
He’s carrying that famous Citrus Swirl on one leafy wing, surrounded by flowers and a smiling sun. And it seems like he’s sending us a little love…he’s thinking of a heart!
Here’s a closer look at the detail on this work of art.
We’re loving this nod to Disney parks history — and the finished result sure is bright and sunny! Next time you’re in Adventureland, stop by the Sunshine Tree Terrace to visit this little guy. And be sure to snap a picture with your Dole Whip or Citrus Swirl! As always, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.
