Update: Tickets for A Touch of Disney are currently sold out.
We’ve been able to stop by Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park as part of the “expansion” of Downtown Disney. But, soon guests will get the chance to explore MUCH more of the park!
While Disneyland’s theme parks are still closed, Disney California Adventure Park will soon be re-opening to guests as part of a special limited-time ticket experience. Yes, the PARK. We expect this event will be VERY popular, and now you can snag your chance to return to the park!
That’s right! The line has opened and tickets are on sale NOW for the new Disney California Adventure event — A Touch of Disney! You can enter the queue to purchase your tickets here!
According to the website: the approximate wait time is currently more than an hour. The website also indicates that when it’s your turn to purchase tickets you’ll have 10 minutes to enter the ticket store.
Also, being in the queue does not guarantee the ability to purchase tickets, so keep that in mind.
Update: Our screen later changed to provide the following message: “The queue has been paused as we are temporarily unable to sell more tickets. When we can do so, the queue will reopen.”
We’ll be keeping a close eye on this and will let you know if we see any updates.
Second Update: The “A Touch of Disney” ticket queue site has now been updated to say “The queue has been paused and tickets are still available. When we can do so, the queue will reopen. Please remain in the queue as your spot is being held.”
We’ll be watching for more updates.
Third Update: It appears the queue may be back up and running again. Our screen now shows an estimated wait time for the queue.
But, the wait times can vary and even change as you’re in the queue.
Each ticket to A Touch of Disney costs $75 and includes admission, parking, unlimited PhotoPass downloads, AND a $25 dining card. The event starts March 18th, 2021, and will run on Thursdays through Mondays from 12PM-8PM.
As we mentioned, the opening of Buena Vista Street as an extension of Downtown Disney has given guests the opportunity to enter part of the park. But, this event will be VERY different as the entire park will be open for guests to walk around.
As a reminder, the ticketed experience will NOT include attractions.
You will, however, be able to munch on some of your very favorite foods and drinks from around Disneyland Resort. There will actually be food items available at 25 (!!) locations — including 6 marketplaces created especially for this event.
Corn dogs, churros, DOLE Whips, and MORE will all be available for purchase during the event. Lamplight Lounge and Carthay Circle Restaurant — Alfresco Dining, will also both be open!

Aside from eating some delicious food, guests at this event will also be able do some shopping at multiple stores. Oh, and did we mention that fans will also get the chance to see CHARACTERS AGAIN!?! THAT IS RIGHT! Mickey and friends, Mater, Lightning McQueen, Joy, and Sadness are all expected to make an appearance!
There will also be special photo spots, unique souvenirs for purchase, and more.

Keep in mind that because of this special event, Buena Vista Street will only be open as an “extension” of Downtown Disney until March 14th. It will then close starting March 15th, and will then become available to guests who buy a ticket to A Touch of Disney.
We do expect that this event will be INCREDIBLY popular, especially considering the fact that the Disneyland theme parks are still closed. So, if you’re hoping to visit Disney California Adventure Park through this new event, you’ll definitely want to grab your tickets as soon as possible!
We’ll keep an eye out for more updates and share our experience with you once we’re able to stop by this special event. As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!

I did try to get tickets for this on the day that the tickets became available. They sold out early in the day. They are not available anymore.
