Thinking of planning a trip with Adventures by Disney this year or maybe next year?
Well, you could save up to $750(!!) on some expeditions and even check out some of their newest offerings, including an adventure to ANTARCTICA?! Well, if you are thinking of booking a future trip with Adventures by Disney, some updates have been made to their cancellations and payment policies that you should know about.
The Adventures by Disney website now has a number of updates regarding its cancellation and payment policies with regards to different adventures.
If you make a NEW 2021 Land, Short Escape, and River Cruise booking through March 31st, 2021 for travel through March 31st, 2022 — you’ll be eligible for fully refundable deposits up until the final payment date. That final payment date has been temporarily modified to just 90 days prior to departure.
UPDATE:The Adventures by Disney website now notes that if you make a NEW 2021 Land, Escape, and River Cruise booking through JUNE 30th, 2021 (as opposed to March 31st, 2021) for travel through March 31st, 2022 — you’ll be eligible for fully refundable deposits up until the final payment date. The website also now specifies that the final payment date has been temporarily modified to just 65 days (previously it was 90 days) prior to departure.
But, certain adventures — specifically, Disneyland Resort and Southern California Escape departures beginning in March 2022, all Buenos Aires Escape departures, and all expedition cruise sailings — are excluded from this modified cancellation and final payment policy. So, keep that in mind.
There are also updated cancellation policies when it comes to NEW Antartica and Galapagos Expedition Cruise bookings and Buenos Aires Escape bookings. If you cancel your “Antarctica (12/20/21 and 1/30/22 sailings) or Galapagos (all 2022 sailings) Expedition Cruise or Buenos Aires Escape (12/18/21 and 1/28/22 departures) reservation for any reason through March 31, 2021 [you] will receive a future travel credit in the amount of [your] required deposit.” There are separate rules for those who change some of the sailings in February, so be sure to read the full updated policy.
UPDATE: These specific terms regarding the Antartica and Galapagos Expedition Cruise bookings and Buenos Aires Escape bookings have since been removed from the website.
The Adventures by Disney website also notes that date changes or cancellations for ALL 2022 Land, Expedition Cruise, and River Cruise bookings will follow the standard terms and conditions.
You can read the full updated policy below.
You’ll want to make sure you’ve also reviewed Adventures By Disney’s date change and final payment policies.
UPDATE: The Adventures By Disney website now notes, “Guests currently booked on adventures through August 2021 can change their reservation up to 65 days prior to their trip and receive a 100% credit to be used toward a future adventure.”
Additionally, it notes that “For existing bookings that travel through March 31, 2022, final payment will now be due 65 days prior to the adventure start date.”
If you’re thinking of booking an Adventures by Disney experience, just be sure to read up on all of their policies to understand what the rules are for final payments, and the updates in policies in case you need to cancel or change your date.
We’ll be on the lookout for more updates and let you know what we spot.
