The day for Blizzard Beach to FINALLY reopen at Disney World is almost here, and by the looks of the forecast, the water park could live up to its name!
March 7th marks the official return of Blizzard Beach, and with projected temperatures in the 50s and low 60s, things could get pretty chilly.
It feels like it’s been AGES since we’ve splashed down water slides at Blizzard Beach, and we’ve been super excited for the park’s return this month! What we didn’t expect, however, was the very real possibility of having to pair our bathing suits with coats?! And face coverings, of course.
The weather is forecast to be unseasonably cold this weekend, which feels oddly fitting for the reopening of a water park named after a snowpocalypse.
Just how cold are we talking? So cold that Volcano Bay at Universal Studios Orlando has already announced its closure for the weekend. So cold that the Warming Hut sounds like it’s going to be a HAVEN.
It is normal for Disney waterparks to close due to cold weather, so it is possible the grand opening of Blizzard Beach could be pushed off. Water parks have closed with projected weather in the 60s and 50s which is what we can expect from the weather tomorrow!
We’ll be keeping an eye on it, and we’ll let you know if the water park plans to open their doors or not!
Here’s a first look at what Disney’s Blizzard Beach will look like upon reopening!
