We’re back to share a glimpse at the construction projects taking place all over Disney World!
As many transformations take place all over the parks, we’re sharing all the details you need to know (no matter how small!). Let’s dive right in!
Magic Kingdom
Peter Pan’s Flight
After weeks of BIG, ugly, brown scrim taking over Fantasyland, it’s finally received a makeover to better fit in with the rest of the land.
The scrim now matches the facade of the buildings surrounding Peter Pan’s Flight.
Although the scrim may no longer be an ugly brown, it’s still a litttle distracting. But hey, it’s the effort that counts, right?Â
This makeover is similar to the ones we’ve seen previously, designed to match the Walt Disney World Railroad Station on Main Street and “it’s a small world.” Disney likes to think they’re pretty sneaky. 😉

Cinderella Castle
Last week, we shared the many construction updates from Cinderella Castle with you. The moat has been drained and gray scrim surrounds the stage in front of the castle. Here’s a look at the stage from this week.
And, the moat is still dry! Lots of construction vehicles are still working in the dried-up area. Maybe the Fairy Godmother can use her magic and transform them into a carriage to make Cinderella Castle look a little more picturesque.
We’ll let you know about any changes made to this Disney World icon!

Disney Resorts
Art of Animation Resort
Last week, Lightning McQueen made his way back onto the newly refurbished character pages in front of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Now, most of the other characters have returned as well! You can see that Ariel has already swum her way back onto the page.
And Nemo’s back too, looking bright and shiny.
During our last visit, Simba’s page was still blank. Hopefully he’ll be making a comeback soon!

Beach Club Resort
Some refurbishment is taking place outside of Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
During our most recent visit, construction machinery was on-site, surrounded by lots of plastic tarps and plywood surrounding the exterior of the resort.
You can add this resort to the list of many being refurbished right now!

Walt Disney World Welcome Sign
Over at the Walt Disney World Welcome Sign at World Drive, the makeover continues! From this angle, you can see the right side of the sign has made major progress. Donald and Mickey can be seen in front of a freshly painted blue background, beside newly painted gray pillars with gold accents. On the left side, Minnie looks the same as always (for now)!Â
Upon closer examination, you can see that Mickey Mouse is covered in plastic as the area around him is refurbished.Â
Right now, this sign looks about halfway done. The left side and the archway need to be taken care of, but progress is moving along quickly!
Check out a completed sign makeover here!
And that’s a look at the updates we have about Disney World’s construction projects right now. Last week was filled with major progress, so this week seems to have been a little on the quieter side. But have no fear — we’ll be back again soon with all the latest updates, so stay tuned to DFB!
