There are SO many construction and refurbishment projects going on all around Disney World.
In Magic Kingdom alone, there’s construction going on for the TRON ride, lots of work being done on the castle stage and areas near the castle, and more. And today as we walked around the park, we spotted something new!
Looking for a GIANT cinnamon roll and LeFou’s Brew, then you’ll want to head to Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland! In front of Gaston’s Tavern, you’ll also find a fountain featuring the one and only Gaston, with LeFou next to him, trying to balance quite a few things! Normally, the fountain has water in it and water pours from some parts of the design like in the photo below.
But, when we stopped by Gaston’s Tavern today, we noticed that something was different — the fountain had been drained.
You can see a number of stanchions and ropes surrounding the fountain. The water has been completely drained, so no water is pouring out of the fountain’s features as it typically does.
We’re not sure why Disney has drained the fountain, but we expect it could be just for some routine maintenance. In the meantime, Gaston’s Tavern itself remains open.
We’ll keep an eye out for more details on this and the other construction projects going on around Disney. Stay tuned for more updates!
