Oh Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, we miss you so much!

This fan-favorite ride in Magic Kingdom has been closed for quite some time. It was meant to reopen with the park back in July, but the reopening date has been delayed several times now. We’ve been carefully watching to see what’s going on in the area, and today we spotted something unusual!
In the past, we’d spotted the PeopleMover actually moving, but never like this!
The PeopleMover is being moved!
Today, it was being pushed along its track by a Cast Member, and we saw him move it pretty far along. The last time we saw it being tested, people were riding ON it, not pushing it from behind.
That’s one way to get things moving again…
We managed to capture a video of this strange moment — we’re not used to seeing Cast Members operate Disney rides like this!

We’ll make sure to keep checking over here and see if we get any more updates. The most recent date for the end of the refurbishment is April 3rd. We’ll have to wait and see if it actually opens then or just gets delayed again.

It is so sad to see such an iconic part 0f WDW down for an extended time, especially when it fits in so well with tomorrowland.
We love the People Mover. My wife would ride with a grand kid taking a nap.
