Picture it: you’ve got a tropical beverage in your hand, you’re listening to the ocean waves mixed with some Disney music, you’re soaking up the sun (or maybe checking out some glaciers in the cold?!), and relaxing aboard a gorgeous Disney Cruise Line ship.
Well, that dream could ALL become a reality! Disney Cruise Line has been continuously canceling upcoming sailings due to COVID-19 and is hoping to resume limited operations this fall. But, even if a cruise in 2021 isn’t in the books for you, a cruise in 2022 might just be! Disney Cruise Line just released their summer 2022 itineraries! We’re sharing all the info with you here and how you could get some FREE onboard credit.
Recently, Disney Cruise Line announced their summer 2022 itineraries! Wondering where you could set sail in the summer of 2022?
Well, you could depart from Italy or Spain on cruises to the Mediterranean, Greek Isles and coastal ports of Greece, France, Italy, or Spain. Or, you could visit places like Iceland, Norway, and the British Isles on a 7- or 11-night cruise departing from England, Spain and Denmark. These cruises sound like an absolute dream.
Or, maybe a cruise to Alaska is what you’re searching for? Well, then hop aboard for a 7-night cruise from Canada to get your fill of glaciers, salmon, and more. This can really be an incredible travel experience full of beautiful scenery, delicious salmon (of course), and so many unique activities.
Looking for sun and sand? You can head to the Caribbean or the Bahamas on various cruises from Port Canaveral or Miami. One of the best advantages of these cruises is that they include a stop (sometimes even 2 stops!!) to Disney’s AMAZING and much beloved private island, Disney Castaway Cay. There, you’ll be able to soak in the sun, eat some delicious food, and participate in all kinds of cool activities like snorkeling, renting an Aqua Trike, and even going on a Banana Boat Thrill Ride!
Okay, okay — if you’re like many other Disney fans you’ve either been away from Disney Cruise Line for far too long already or you’ve been just itching to book your first Disney Cruise Line adventure. So, when can you start booking one of these fabulous cruises?
Well, these incredible summer sailings will become available to book on March 25th, 2021.
BUT if you’re a Platinum, Gold, or Silver Castaway Club member, you can actually book your sailings a few days EARLY! Castaway Club members are those who have been on at least 1 Disney Cruise Line sailing before, but the exact membership status depends on how many Disney cruises you’ve been on before. Golden Oak Club Members, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Adventures by Disney Insiders can ALL get early booking access too! Here’s a break-down of when different guests can book:
- March 22, 2021: Platinum Castaway Club Members and Golden Oak Club Members
- March 23, 2021: Platinum and Gold Castaway Club Members
- March 24, 2021: Platinum, Gold and Silver Castaway Club Members, as well as Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventures by Disney Insiders
- March 25, 2021: All Guests
It looks like the bookings generally open up at 8AM ET on each respective booking day.

I would be the First person on that boat if Cruises opened up. We have now book 4 Disney cruises since October (which would be our first Disney Cruise ever) and each has been canceled.
My only problem with the industry opening back up is the lack of amenities and the cost remaining the same.
I have no doubt that cruising will not return until 2022. Or decemebr 2021 at the earliest.
All this talk of summer itineraries is just ice bait.

Question:
Since Castaway Cay is under the Bahamian government jurisdiction, would the cruise ships actually port here? Because the Bahamas is not allowing Americans into their country.

Brandon, I don’t know how that would play out. We’ll update if it turns out there’s some conflict.
