We’ve been making our way all around Disney California Adventure Parks’ new ticketed event, A Touch of Disney, today eating food, seeing characters in the park again, and so much more!
Throughout the park, various restaurants and food spots are open, including some booths that were previously at Disney California Adventure Park’s Food & Wine Festival. Looking for a cheese plate, mimosas, or some Chardonnay during your trip to DCA? Then we’ve got just the spot for you — the Uncork California marketplace!
It’s sort of mind-blowing to think about it, but we visited the Uncork California booth during the 2020 California Adventure Food & Wine Festival in February of 2020, before the historic closure of Disneyland in March. And now we’re BACK over a year later and while things have certainly changed with the world, some things have changed with this booth as well.
Before we get into the food we do want to mention that you are able to Mobile Order from this booth through the Disneyland app, so just be sure to keep that in mind! Okay, to the food and drinks!
Menu
The menu here has many returning items from last year’s festival with a few changes. In terms of the food, the California Artisan Cheese Selection is back.
There are also a number of wines and mimosas, although some of the actual alcohol selections have changed.
Food
In terms of the food, like we mentioned the California Artisan Cheese Plate is BACK. The plate features Central Coast Creamery Holey Cow Swiss and Fiscalini Farmstead Purple Moon Cheddar, with grapes, dried apricots, and glazed pecans. Last year the dish featured Vintage Cheese Co. Cabernet Cheddar instead of the Fiscalini, although we did see Fiscalini offered back in 2019. Generally, the dish is similar to previous offerings at this booth.
Last year, we found this dish to be a pretty generous portion in terms of size, but pretty standard. It arrived pre-packaged in a plastic box. Based on our taste from last year, if you’re hungry (or even hangry!) and you NEED some cheese, you might want to consider it. It may not be the greatest cheese plate you’ll ever eat in your life, but we enjoy cheese in ALL forms. You can get it for $8.50.
Drinks
On the drinks side, we’ve got some returning items and a few new offerings that weren’t at this booth last year. Returning from last year’s selection of wine is the Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Sofia Rose for $11.00, the Erath, Pinot Noir for $14.00, and the Chandon Brut, Sparkling Wine for $15.00. But, the following 4 offerings that you can get now were not available last year at this booth:
- Wither Hills, Sauvignon Blanc for $12.00
- Rodney Strong, Chardonnay for $13.00
- Hill Family, Barrel Blend for $16.00
- Sebastiani, Cabernet Sauvignon for $13.00
We gave the Wither Hills, Sauvignon Blanc a try and were happy to find that it was super light and refreshing. If you’re not a fan of white wines that are overly sweet, then this one will be a winner because it had a good balance of sweetness.
We also tried the Sebastiani, Cabernet Sauvignon and, as the true cabernet fans we are, were disappointed to find that the flavors weren’t very bold. But, if you’re looking for a red wine that is light and sweet, this one is yours!
If it’s a mimosa you’re after though, this booth DEFINITELY has you covered!! This year, the Road Trip Mimosa Trio ($17) is BACK with the same three offerings from last year. You can get the set of 3 as part of the Mimosa Trio, or get the items on their own. The three drinks that are part of the trio and their individual prices are the Pacific Mimosa (Sparkling wine, coconut, Blue Curacao, and Pineapple Juice) for $15.00…
…the Mojave Mimosa (Sparkling wine, peach juice, and raspberry syrup) for $15.00…
…and the Sierra Mimosa (Sparkling wine, lavender, and fresh lemon juice) for $15.00.
Similar to last year, we thought this flight was delicious but SO small in terms of the pours. The Pacific Mimosa had a great coconut presence though and was on the sweet side for all you out there who love a sweet drink. If you love peach, the Mojave Mimosa is the one for you — it was delicious and VERY peachy (and our favorite)! The Sierra Mimosa was again fairly one noted, however, with really just the lavender shining through. Overall, if there’s a flavor in these you don’t like, you likely won’t like that mimosa, but you can buy them separately if you wish!
Novelties
At Uncork California, you can also get a number of novelty items during A Touch of Disney. Specifically, at this booth, you’ll find a Red Grapes Glow Cube Charm and Green Grapes Glow Cube Charm. You can add these grape glow cubes to any beverage for $5.50 each.
These charms are available to purchase while supplies last, so be sure to grab yours while you can!
Overall
Overall, if you’re looking for a fairly standard cheese selection, some delicious mimosas, or some wine — Uncork California has you covered! If you want to try it for yourself, be sure to place your Mobile Order for this spot during your trip to A Touch of Disney.
We’re making our way around ALL of DCA as part of this special, ticketed event, so stay tuned for more photos, videos, reviews, and all kinds of details!
