Hello, DFB readers! We’ve been spending some time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
And while we enjoyed taking a safari to see all the awesome animals, we also popped into the shops and restaurants to see if anything new had turned up since our last visit. So let’s get on with the updates!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Nomad Lounge
Nomad Lounge had an…um…interesting offering for St. Patrick’s Day. Now we ate a LOT of green stuff on St. Paddy’s Day, but we weren’t quite prepared for the St. Patrick’s Day Dessert Trio. This trio included an Amarula Rainbow Cake, Whiskey Caramel Cake Pop, and Coffee Panna Cotta. We spent several minutes trying to figure out what the symbol on the Amarula Rainbow Cake was… . Is it a spider web?! Maybe a pirate ship wheel?! We had no idea so we asked!
For the record, it was a compass, meant to symbolize the Nomad Lounge symbol. Despite its mysterious appearance, though, it was still our favorite of the three desserts. The trio is available now through March 20th for $13.

Creature Comforts
Over at Creature Comforts, the Colossal Mickey Cinnamon Roll got a green makeover!
It was still the same ginormous cinnamon roll we love to share for $7.49. The green version is available for a limited time here and at Tamu Tamu Refreshments.

Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Serka Zong Bazaar
The Yeti might be pretty terrifying on Expedition Everest, but he’s pretty cute on the new Yeti Spirit Jersey we turned up!
This spirit jersey is $69.99.

Animal Kingdom Other Updates
Raya and the Last Dragon Sand Sculpture
If you haven’t seen the Raya and the Last Dragon sand sculpture, it’s a pretty amazing sight to see. And we caught some Disney artists working on it again.
Can you believe this started as a huge lump of sand — 40 tons of sand, to be exact?

That’s it for our time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but we’ll be back soon with even more updates!
