One of our favorite places to get a meal that we constantly call “hearty” is the Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room at the U.K. Pavilion at EPCOT.
But the Dining Room part of Rose and Crown has been closed for refurbishment since February, but we recently noticed that reservations were open again as of March 21st. Today is the day, and the Rose & Crown Dining Room has officially reopened!
We were there to check out the reopening — and grab some food, of course! We strolled around outside and admired the view of this reopened restaurant!
Outside, there are distancing markers and arrows directing guests to check-in with a Cast Member. Mobile check-in is available and encouraged, but this is where you will come to be seated.
You’ll go through a beautiful archway to be seated.
We took a peek at the menu outside, and a few minutes later, we received a text that our table was ready!
The interior did not look much different from before! The furniture and decor seemed to have stayed the same. We love that detailed ceiling!
Like other Disney World restaurants, tables are spread out or blocked off to maintain physical distancing between groups.
We couldn’t come to Rose and Crown and NOT try some of the delicious food! We tried the United Kingdom Cheese Platter which includes a selection of Traditional British Cheese with Accompaniments.
Would it really be a meal in the United Kingdom Pavilion without some Fish and Chips?!? We had the Beer-Battered fish served with Tartar Sauce on our visit.
Another classic English dish is the Shepherd’s Pie which consists of Ground Beef, Seasonal Vegetables, English Peas, and Mashed Potatoes with McCall’s Irish Cheddar.
The last entree we had was the Chicken Masala Curry which is made with Seasoned Vegetables, Basmati Rice, and Raita.
We couldn’t help but order a side of Mushy Peas too!
For dessert, we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding which is made of Steamed Pudding “Cake” and served with Warm Vanilla Custard and Hot-Butter Rum Sauce.
We’re so excited to see the Rose & Crown Dining Room open again, and we’re ready to have a nice pint and sit-down meal in the U.K.! We tried lots of food here today, and we’ll be bringing you a full restaurant review very soon! We’re covering every reopening at Disney World, so stay tuned for more Disney news.

We go to the Rose and Crown every visit and love the food. But I have to say that is the saddest cheese platter I have ever seen.

Looks wonderful as usual, but, can you please tell me if the outside umbrella tables are still there for dining???
Loved that ambiance & watching Illuminations as well. TIA !!!!
