As Disney Cruise Line sailings remain suspended, policies are constantly changing.
Sailings are currently canceled through August 2021, but Disney hopes to resume limited operations in the fall. And just today, they announced that a special staycation experience is on its way to the UK! So what does all of this mean for the policies currently in place?
First of all, Disney Cruise Line has added some messaging to their website about their UK staycation cruises. They state that while their normal Disney Magic sailings from Barcelona, Civitavecchia, and Dover are still canceled through August 10th, their new UK voyages will take place.
We’ve also got some updates on their cancellation and flexibility policies. Previously, we shared that these policy extensions were available through August 31st, 2021. Now, they’ve been extended through September 30th.
Guests who have cruises booked through September 2021 will be able to make their final payment up to 60 days before sailing, as long as you’re booked in an unrestricted stateroom category. The cancellation fee schedule has also been relaxed through September, according to the details below:
Cruise date flexibility has also been extended! You can change your sail date up to 15 days before embarkation for any sailings booked by April 30th and scheduled to sail on or before September 30th.
UPDATE: While one part of the Disney Cruise Line website still lists the April/September dates referenced above for cruise date flexibility, another portion of the site now notes that for any new or existing cruises booked prior to May 31st, 2021, for sailings through October 31st, 2021, guests can change their sail date up to 15 days before departure. There’s a separate policy when it comes to the UK Staycation cruises.
And if you have a COVID-related health concern (symptoms or exposure) within 14 days of sailing, you can receive a full refund with no cancellation fees — or you can apply your fare to a future cruise.
We’ll keep an eye on any future changes to Disney Cruise Line’s policies. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!

So – does this mean my Disney cruise in July on the Dream is officially cancelled – this post is not clear to me.
