The shops on Main Street, U.S.A. are playing musical chairs!
As Walt Disney World prepares for its 50th anniversary celebration, we’ve seen all kinds of work being done around Magic Kingdom. But on Main Street, U.S.A., some spring cleaning is taking place, too! Main Street Confectionery just closed for a months-long refurbishment — and now, another shop has closed, too.
Just around the corner, The Chapeau has closed temporarily! We clued ya in that this closure was on the way, and now the day has come.
The doors are shut tight, and signs inform guests that they can find headwear and embroidery at Box Office Gifts now. In case you didn’t know, that’s just down the street at the Town Square Theater! And in case you were lookin’ for it, the hat box sign at the front of the store has been removed, too.
Of course, we headed over to Box Office Gifts to check out the store’s new layout! You’ll find your typical selection of caps, hats, and more here.
Lookin’ for Mickey ears? They’ve got ya covered!
You’ll also still be able to get embroidery done. In the back of the store you can walk through to Curtain Call Collectibles, you’ll find a separate counter to assist you with personalization.
Some examples of embroidery are on display to give you inspiration!
You can head into Box Office Gifts through the main doors at the Town Square Theater, but Disney’s also opened up the side doors of Curtain Call Collectibles to go directly into the shop for easier access.
We’ll keep you posted as The Chapeau’s closure continues! As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news.
