If you’re like us, one of your favorite parts of visiting Walt Disney World is all of the food!
And, you don’t necessarily have to be in the parks to get a taste of your favorite treats and eats from Disney. That’s why we love sharing Disney recipes with you to try at home! While it doesn’t usually taste exactly how it does in Disney World (no matter how close you follow the recipe), there’s still something special about foods marked as “Disney” in our minds. And, for those who don’t want to try their hand in the kitchen, we’ve got a solution for you!
We’ve got a list of pre-packaged foods to make you feel like you’re at Disney that you can find at Trader Joe’s!
So, if you’re a big fan of the grocery store like many of our writers are, here’s everything you can pick up to bring some of that Disney magic home!
Philly Cheesesteak Bao Buns
First up is a flavor that you probably thought you could only taste when exploring Pandora — The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. That’s right, we talking about the Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen! These wrapped cheeseburger buns are delicious and are made with ground beef, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and cheddar cheese at Disney World and you can find a copycat at Trader Joe’s!
Next time you’re visiting the grocery store, pick up a box of the Philly Cheesesteak Bao Buns. You’ll find these in the frozen section and all you have to do is pop them in the oven and enjoy a taste of Disney!
They are made with Philly cheesesteak in a bao bun with shredded beef, onion, and bell pepper. So, not exactly the same recipe, but they taste pretty close to the real thing!
Big Soft Pretzels
Mickey Pretzels are perhaps the most iconic Disney World snack. There’s just something better about giant pretzels in the shape of Mickey Mouse. You can find them everywhere around the parks when you’re visiting and, now, you can even find them at home!
Trader Joe’s sells bags of Big Soft Pretzels in the frozen section and they are sure to remind you of days snacking on the salty snack in front of Cinderella Castle! They aren’t Mickey-shaped but use your imagination and it’ll feel almost the same!
All that’s missing is some plastic cheese! 😉
Brazilian Style Cheese Bread
Next up is cheesy bread! If you love the Brazilian Cheese Bread that can be found during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival or have tried the Pao de Queijo off the secret menu at Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom, then you’re in for a treat! Carbs and cheese go hand in hand and you don’t have to be at Disney World to get your fix!
You can get the Trader Joe’s Brazilian Style Cheese Bread and create your own Disney dining adventure! These are made with tapioca flour and parmesan cheese with a thin crisp exterior and a chewy cheese center. Um…YUM!
You can find it in the frozen section (are you picking up on a theme here?) and, you get 12 pieces in a box!
Veggie Spring Rolls
If you’re missing the veggie spring rolls from Nine Dragons in the China Pavilion at EPCOT, we’re sure your local Chinese restaurant has some great options, but Trader Joe’s does, too! You can get some Veggie Spring Rolls filled with kale, edamame, mushrooms, and shredded tofu.
Pop these in the air fryer and you’ve got a great veggie spring roll dupe! They’re in the frozen section and they’re vegan. You can get them for $4.29.
Pan-Fried Dumplings
There are several different places that you can find pan-fried dumplings or potstickers in Disney World — Nine Dragons, Sunshine Tree Terrace, or the China booth at EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival. If you’re missing any of these versions, Trader Joe’s has some dupes!
Trader Joe’s has both Chicken Gyoza Potstickers…
…and Pork Gyoza Potstickers!
You get a BUNCH of potstickers in these packs and they’re frozen, so they’ll keep for a long time. You can pop them in the microwave or pan fry them yourself to make them feel a bit more like the ones in Disney World. Get them for $3.79.
Spanakopita
If you’re missing the Spanakopita from the Greece booth at EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival, Trader Joe’s has an option for that, too! This is a greek spinach pie and it’s made with a bunch of flaky pastry.
At Trader Joe’s you can get a WHOLE spinach pie for $4.49, which is actually a few cents less than the way smaller version at the Greece booth.
Trader Joe’s is found in the frozen section and is ready to bake!
Arepas
At the 2022 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival was La Isla Fresca, a returning booth that had some new eats. They served a bunch of Arepas, including some topped with melted queso fresco. If you thought you could only get these at the festival in EPCOT, think again!
Trader Joe’s has some Corn and Cheese Arepas filled with mozzarella cheese in the frozen section that are a great option for a snack or a light meal.
Get a pack of 2 for $3.49, which is way cheaper than the ones from EPCOT!
Garlic Naan & Butter Chicken
If you’ve ever eaten at Yak & Yeti Restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you probably know that they serve up some pretty tasty Asian-style dishes! And, if you’ve tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, you probably were left wanting more after scooping up every inch of the sauce with naan. And, Trader Joe’s has something that tastes pretty close so you can enjoy more dinners feeling like you’re dining in Disney World!
Trader Joe’s sells a Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice that you can warm up in the oven or the microwave! Pair it with Trader Joe’s Garlic Naan and you have yourself a fancy (and delicious) Disney-inspired meal! The Butter Chicken serves one and can be found in the frozen section, and, the Garlic Naan is also in the frozen section, but comes in a pack 4.
If you’re vegan, there’s an option for you, too! You can get the Vegan Tikka Masala with Cumin Rice for $4.29.
You may never want to spend $26.99 on the dish at Disney World again after eating this (though we still do)!
Pizza Margherita
If you’ve been following us for a while here at DFB, you probably know that one of our favorite places to grab pizza is Via Napoli in the Italy Pavilion at EPCOT. And, if you’re craving some wood-fired pizza, there’s something at Trader Joe’s that will make you feel like your eating the pizza in the middle of the restaurant.
Trader Joe’s has a Pizza Margherita that you can find in the frozen section. So, all you need to do is warm this one up in the oven and get to snacking! If you want to get real authentic to the Disney experience, give your oven a name (Vesuvio, Etna, and Stromboli are already taken)!
The frozen pizza is imported from Italy so really you’re getting as close as you can get to Via Napoli, right? Bonus: you can add on some more toppings like pepperoni to make it your own! You can get it for $4.79.
Mac & Cheese Bites
Wine Bar George serves up some Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites that we’ve been known to rave about in the past. We can’t help it! And, if you also love the crispy, cheesy small plate from the Disney Springs restaurant, then you’re in luck because you can whip them up at home in little to no time!
Next time you’re at the grocery store, pick up a box of the Trader Joe’s Mac & Cheese Bites! These little guys come frozen in a box of 10 and you can warm them up in the oven or get fancy and use an air fryer to make them extra crispy. Pair it with a marinara sauce and parmesan cheese and you’ll feel like you’re at Disney World, no reservation needed!
And, you’ll be snacking at a fraction of the cost.
Chocolate Croissants
And, the last snack to take you on your journey through Walt Disney World from home is the heavenly combination of croissants and chocolate. If you’ve ever found yourself craving French flavors in Disney World, you’re probably familiar with Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie.
This little bakery is located in the back of the France Pavilion at EPCOT and serves up sweet and savory pastries and sandwiches. And, we’re talking about one of their sweeter items here, the Pain au Chocolat (aka, a chocolate croissant). They’re everything you’d expect out of a chocolate-filled croissant — big and delicious! And, you don’t have to stop by your Starbucks at home to be reminded of the Disney World Snack!
Trader Joe’s sells a box of 4 Chocolate Croissants in the frozen section that satisfies that need for something sweet and savory! Get them for $4.99.
They also sell Almond Croissants so you can even find another treat that reminds you of the restaurant! These are also 4 for $4.99.
Want regular croissants? They have those, too! You can get 8 Mini Croissants for $4.49.
Add all these snacks to your Trader Joe’s grocery list and you’ll be feeling like you’ve traveled all around Walt Disney World for at least the next week! Plus, you get a Trader Joe’s trip out of it, which is almost always a fun time.

Wow, a lot of those things look good, but it’s the pizza that looks the best to me. I’ll have to find my nearest Trader Joes.
