If Earth Day is your favorite holiday, then you’ll want to head to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in April!
While the holiday isn’t until April 22nd, Animal Kingdom is celebrating all month long with new characters, Animation Experience classes, Wilderness Explorer badges, and snacks/drinks. Today, we tried out one of the brand new drinks that the park is offering for the month of April!
Animal Kingdom is full of animal-themed snacks like the lion or tiger cupcakes, but this time there is an over-the-top DRINK at Isle of Java that is based on the animal called the Red Crowned Crane.
Fittingly, the drink shares the name with the animal, and is made with Frozen Coke and frozen Cherry Coke topped with strawberry cotton candy with or without rum! Yep, there’s a mound of cotton candy on top of this boozy or non-boozy slush!
Of course, we tried this one with the rum! It tastes pretty much identical to your every frozen cherry coke slush. With that booze, there was a nice rum and coke element, too.
We found the drink to be sweet, but not too much so! If you’re a coke slush or rum and coke fan, you’re gonna want to try this. Not to mention, how fun is that cotton candy topper?!

If you REALLY dislike all things cherry, you may wanna try the Cotton Top Lagoon at Isle of Java instead (it’s also a little sweeter!). But if you’re just a little cherry-averse, you’ll probably be a-okay! You can grab this for $12.50 with the rum or $5.49 without. Just make sure you try it before it disappears on April 29th! We’ll continue bringing you updates on the latest Earth Day celebrations in Animal Kingdom, so stay tuned.

Absurdly Not!

They don’t actually have this as of 4/14. Must be another of those paid Disney vlogger only experiences that us normal people don’t get. We’re seeing a lot of that this trip at WDW.

Mike, Disney does change menus often — especially the items that they display on the placards versus on the regularly posted menu. This was available for guests when we reviewed it April 1.
