We’re well into 2021 in Disney World!
It’s been an interesting year but as folks begin to travel again, you might have a trip to Disney World on the docket. If you’re headed to the Most Magical Place on Earth in the next few months, we want to make sure you’re in the loop on what to expect!Â
Here’s a look at the next 6 months in Disney World.
April
April just kicked off in Disney World and it’s a pretty big month! Spring is in full swing and you might be surprised by the different festivities we can expect to see in the next few weeks.
Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Continues
As you might be aware, the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is currently ongoing. This fest is all about plant life and growing and gives us some SERIOUS springtime vibes.
All for the month of April (and beyond!), you’ll be able to check out the Flower and Garden Outdoor Kitchen food booths (Of which we’ve reviewed EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.) and the Flower and Garden entertainment!

April 4th — Easter Festivities and Crowds
Easter falls on April 4th this year and that means we get to see some fun Easter festivities. We’re talking Easter merchandise, loads of bunny butt treats, and gorgeous Easter displays around Disney World.
One thing to note is that Easter can also bring some crowds! For many, Easter Sunday is a day best spent with family in Disney World. So, be aware when traveling around this holiday.

April 8th — BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas Reopens

April 17th — Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort Food & Wine Spring Classic

May
Spring continues in May, as does EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. But there are lots of other events too!
May 1st — PeopleMover Set to Reopen
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, a beloved attraction in Magic Kingdom has been closed for over a year and the reopening dates just keep getting pushed back.
Recently, Disney pushed the date back to May 1st. Hopefully, it will actually open that day!

May 4th — Star Wars Day
Disney hasn’t announced any special festivities for May 4th, but it’s Star Wars Day! Get it? May the Fourth (Force) be with you!
We did spot that Disney Park Passes to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Star Wars Day disappeared pretty quickly! Well, where better to spend May the Fourth than Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?

May 30th — Disney’s Beach Club Resort Reopens
Nothing much is scheduled for the middle of May, but when May 30th comes around, we’ll get a hotel reopening! Eek! Disney’s Beach Club Resort reopens this day.
Wondering why it feels like the Beach Club has been open for months? It’s because it opened as a Disney Vacation Club resort and is now reopening fully!

May 31st — Memorial Day
The last thing to be aware of in May is Memorial Day on May 31st! The big thing to keep in mind is that the day off school and work for many can mean heavier crowds this week.
Plus, Disney might have a few small events to honor those who have passed during service to the military.
June
As we get further out, fewer events have been announced. But, you can bet that EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival will continue through June too!
Get Ready for Rain!
June also marks the start of summer! That means it’s time to get ready for heat and for RAIN. In fact, this is one of the WETTEST months of the year for Orlando, Florida!
We check in on the weather forecast for Disney World every single week, so tune in to our weather update the week before your trip to make sure you know what to expect and how to prepare.

We’re not sure what date will mark the opening of this hotel, but reservations are already available for dates beginning in September.

July 4th — Fourth of July
Of course, the Fourth of July is typically a big day for festivities! Expect crowds in the week around this holiday.
As for celebrations, we’re not sure what we’ll see this year! As of now, fireworks are still suspended and it’s possible they will remain that way through the Fourth. Surely, though, we’ll see some fun and patriotic treats.
July 5th — EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival Ends
The following day, July 5th, is the last day for this year’s EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival!
Make sure you get all your eating, drinking, and garden-exploring done before then!
July 15th — EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival Begins
But we won’t be EPCOT festival-less for long! Just ten days later on July 15th, EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival begins! This is the biggest and longest festival of the year and we can’t wait!
We’re ready for MORE eats and months of fun entertainment!

July 19th — Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Reopens

August
Summer will come to a close in August as EPCOT Food and Wine Festival continues.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party May Begin
Plus, we might see the start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This event is a specially ticketed party that typically takes place in Magic Kingdom on select nights from August through October.
Last year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary was canceled due to the global health crisis. We’re not sure if it will go on as planned this year, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop!

September
Finally, we can take a look at September. Sure, EPCOT Food and Wine Festival will still be ongoing as might Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties, but what else is going on?
Disney World Gears Up for the 50th Anniversary
Mainly, Disney World will be gearing up for its 50th Anniversary! The resort celebrates this BIG event on October 1st and that’s when all the fun is supposed to officially kick-off, but September won’t be totally boring.
We’ll very likely see a LOT of preparations for the celebration and some special 50th offerings might even drop early! That would be exciting! We’ll of course be there to cover it all for you.
