There’s one Disney World theme park that’s a little bit harder to get to than others.
Since the theme parks reopened last July, the Disney Park Pass theme park reservation system has been implemented to help keep the parks at limited capacity. It has been notoriously difficult to get into Disney’s Hollywood Studios and now it could be OVER TWO MONTHS until some guests can get in.
We were checking in on Disney Park Pass availability this morning when we spotted that Theme Park Ticket Holders and Resort Hotel Guests have NO availability in Disney’s Hollywood Studios until June 19th. 😳
You can spot that the entire month of May is yellow, the color that means one or more parks are unavailable. Though there are some cases where other parks are booked up too, every yellow day shows a day that Disney’s Hollywood Studios has no availability.
This trend continues for two whole months with non-Annual Passholders able to book Hollywood Studios again on June 19th.
The same scarcity is the case for Resort Hotel Guests.
Annual Passholders have a lot more flexibility at this time. As you can see, there are even some days through the end of this month that all four Disney World parks are available.
If you’re hoping to head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on an upcoming Disney trip, you’ll want to make your Disney Park Pass reservation ASAP.We have seen Disney release more slots for Park Pass Reservations as well.
And don’t forget, that if the park is not at capacity, you can still hop to Hollywood Studios each day at 2PM.

How does this work for people staying on property? I would not be a happy guest if I was on property and couldn’t get into a park.

Do they stop selling tickets once they reach capacity for the day or in the future? or post that tickets will not be honored on certain days because their full up ?
DFB Sarah says
Charles, if the park is booked, even on-property Resort guests aren’t guaranteed entry. If there are no Disney Park Passes available, the only option would be to try to Park Hop after 2PM, but that’s only possible if the Park is not at capacity at that time. Disney does recommend booking your Disney Park Pass as soon as you have your ticket(s) and checking the Disney Park Pass calendar for availability before you make your purchase.

If you are an annual pass holder staying on property it will require the intervention of a cast member to book a park reservation at Hollywood Studios even though there might be plenty of availability for annual pass holders on the calendar.

My family is visiting in Jan. 2022. I know things can change between now and then, but this was very helpful and answered all my Park Hopping questions. Thanks!

Are you using Touring Plans? I noticed they said there was no availability for certain parks for certain days for pass holders, but I tried making reservations on the days I wanted and had no problems getting reservations.

Hey everyone! Wanted to let everybody know, if you want a Hollywood Studios pass and it says they are unavailable KEEP TRYING. Come back to the page and refresh a bunch. We got three separate passes for HS while the calendar said they were unavailable. Don’t give up!

Thanks for the information.

Lisa, no, we go by the calendar on DisneyWorld.com.
