You might think that we’ve eaten all there is to eat at the 2021 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival.
But, NO. Though we did review every booth at the festival on day one, there are some NEW eats today that we’re just now getting to try. Remember how the new Farmers Feast booth was mentioned as having a rotating menu? Well, there are some new options today!
We were strolling through EPCOT when we spotted that the menu at Farmers Feast had been updated! The Spring Onion Soup, Duck Confit, and Off the “Beet”en Path have ALL been replaced with new items. Yep, that means the food items at this booth are ALL new today.
The NEW items are Warm Asparagus, Herb-crusted Spring Lamb, and Strawberry Rhubarb Upside-down Cake. Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s get tasting!
First up, we tried the Warm Asparagus for $5.25.
This dish features White and Green Asparagus, along with Truffle Vinaigrette, Spring Pea Espuma, Parmesan, and Fresh Truffles.
This asparagus was VERY good! The parmesan complemented it well and if you’re a mushroom fan, you’ll love the addition of the fresh truffles. We would say that the spring pea espuma didn’t add too much since the dish still would’ve been good without any sort of condiment. But, if you like it, there was a generous amount on the plate!
Next, we’re chowing down on the Herb-crusted Spring Lamb for $7.75. Lamb!? Don’t mind if we do.
You’ll be tasting this bite alongside Marble Potatoes, Spring Vegetables, and Red Wine Butter Sauce.
The lamb itself was DELICIOUS — super tender and juicy. It was more on the rare side than some might like but we really enjoyed it. The crust on the meat was SUPER flavorful too. We would’ve loved even MORE of the herb crumbs.
The spring vegetables on the side were a mixture of lima beans, mushrooms, carrots, greens, and garlic. Altogether, they paired with the lamb well and made for a yummy bite.
On the other end of the plate, the potatoes had good flavor but they could’ve been cooked a touch more. They were just barely fork-tender!
Finally, we’ve got the Strawberry Rhubarb Upside-down Cake served with Creme Fraiche Whipped Cream for $4.75.
The dessert was so yummy — especially for folks who are fans of strawberry rhubarb. We will say it doesn’t have the same flavors as a homemade pie would but it’s still a tasty snack. Plus, the bottom of the cake soaks up all of the fresh juices. Add the creme fraiche whipped cream and you’ve got a nice and light dessert!
If these eats sound up your alley, you might want to plan a trip over to try out the new menu at Farmers Feast. This booth is located inside World ShowPlace Pavilion (in between the Canada and UK Pavilions)!
