Most guests who visit Disney World are pretty well-informed and come prepared, and if you’re reading this, you’ve probably already seen many of our tips and tricks on how to make your Disney World vacation less stressful and more magical!
And we’re coming in hot now with a few tips of things you should NEVER say at Disney World, and trust us — these may seem like no-brainers to you, but we’ve totally heard these at the parks! So pay attention!
Which Way to Harry Potter World?
Okay, so you think everyone would know that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is at Universal Studios and NOT at Disney World, but they don’t! 🤯 It’s like there’s a disconnect when it comes to Orlando-area theme parks and some guests believe that Disney World really DOES own everything and has sucked in Universal Orlando attractions, too. Although, in an alternate universe, maybe it could’ve happened? Who knows!
Yes, we’ve HEARD THIS! So we’re giving you a heads up — you will not find anything Harry Potter at Disney World. So keep that in mind before you ask the one question that might just make Cast Members roll their eyes. You’ll have to buy separate tickets and make your way over to Universal if you’re looking to head to Hogwarts or if you wanna chug endless amounts of Butterbeer.

We’ll Just Find a Place to Eat When We Get Hungry
Oh, you poor innocent souls who think you can just go to Disney World and eat when and where you want when the mood strikes you. If only it worked that way…right?! Without Advance Dining Reservations (which we HIGHLY recommend), you’re probably out of luck when it comes to table service restaurants. Luckily, we’ve got a few tips for you on scoring those tough-to-get reservations!
Although the Mobile Dine Walk-Up Waitlist has made it a little easier to get seating at the popular restaurants — you’ll still find yourself waiting for a while and getting hungrier by the minute.
There are often long lines for many counter/quick-service restaurants, too, so those also require some planning in advance. Even those spots with Mobile Order are going to have a wait (and with SO MANY requiring mobile order, if you’re eating at popular times, you could wait up to an hour or more for your food!). In fact, we recommend planning your Mobile Order meals at the beginning of the day, or you could find those spots filling up super quickly.
The best way to get around this is to eat earlier or later than folks normally do and to make sure that you are planning when and where you wanna eat in advance. When it comes to Mobile Order, you can set the time you’d like to pick up your food, so if you’re worried about waiting, you may want to order your lunch or dinner early in the day to pick up later.

Let’s Go Get In Line For Rise of the Resistance
Previously, one of Disney World’s most popular rides, Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, required a boarding pass to ride, meaning that you couldn’t just get in a standby line for the attraction — you had to “pre-book” it and get in a virtual queue (and that often proved tricky). That, however, has changed, and although you can now get in the standby line without a boarding pass required, there is a HUGE reason you might not want to — the wait time for this ride has often been over three hours!
That’s three hours you could be doing something else — enjoying a character meal at Hollywood & Vine, riding multiple other attractions, watching all the cavalcades at the park, and meeting characters. This is one of those times we recommend purchasing the pay-per-ride feature through Disney Genie. Sure, it might cost money per person (depending on that day’s pricing for the ride), but you’ll get access to the Lightning Lane, and your wait will be considerably shorter.
But there is one caveat: the pay-per-ride option sells out FAST. So if you’re a Disney World hotel guest, you can book that as early as 7AM the day of your park visit. However, other guests will have to wait to book it until the park opens, and by then, the option may already be gone. So if Rise of the Resistance is on your must-do list and you want to avoid waiting for hours in line, you’ll want to consider staying in a Disney World hotel.
Here are the rides to book FIRST With Genie+ and Pay Per Ride in Disney World!
So if you’re heading to Disney World, remember to never say these three things while you’re there. We’re trying to prepare you so you have the best trip possible, so stay tuned for more of our tips, tricks, and hacks!

We went to Disney World gif the first time in April and your tips and suggestions were life savers!!!! We would have been lost without your blog and posts!!!! My heart aches for the children and parents who just thought they could walk up and wait in line to make a light saber or droid. Or wanted to eat at a restaurant and couldn’t get a reservation. We are so Grateful!!!!

My daughter found your You-Tube videos and I subscribed to your blog. We have been to DisneyLand several times and know how to get around. However, we knew that DisneyWorld would be a whole different story. We have resort reservations for February 2022. I still need to purchase our tickets, but wanted to read your blogs before buying them. My daughter is working on a plan to move us through each park. Your tips on reserving dining times will be valuable. Thank you!

Gone are the days of paying for a park pass, getting a fast pass to to avoid the lines. Now you need to add an additional fee to ride a favorite attraction or face a wait time that could be hours long. What happened to the Disney magic?
