We recently told about the ketchup crisis happening around the US.
And since hearing about it, we have been seeing how it has impacted Disney World. Well, today we have some good news for all of our ketchup fans out there!
Last week, we reported on the new brand of ketchup we were seeing pop up around Disney World, due to the shortages Heinz was experiencing. While we’re sure that Red Gold ketchup can get the job done as well as any other ketchup, we know there are a LOT of Heinz fans out there who will be glad to know what we saw today!
We had to do a double-take while wandering Animal Kingdom today — at first glance in Restaurantosaurus, we only saw the Red Gold ketchup that had been taking the place of Heinz for the last week. But then on closer inspection…
…we noticed Heinz was also there! So by the looks of it, Heinz is slowly but surely making its return. We do want to note: This is the only location we’ve spotted Heinz back so far. We’re hoping more will follow! When checking Satu’li Canteen, later on, we saw they were still sporting the replacement Red Gold ketchup.
While it was really only a week without any Heinz, we had no way to know for sure when it would return. It’s nice to see that the ketchup issue could already be on its way back to normal. Phew!
Hopefully, this is the end of the ketchup crisis at Disney World, and Heinz’s ketchup is once again here to stay. If we notice any more ketchup hijinks, you better believe we’ll be keeping you updated! For now, you might be able to hold off on packing that bottle of Heinz for your next Disney trip.
If you’re in a snacking mood, make sure you’re not making THESE food mistakes in Disney!

I hate Heinz ketchup it tastes like vinegar! I remember when Hunt’s was the ketchup of Disney and since I saw it there back in the 80’s it is the ketchup we use on our home! I now bring in my own Hunt’s since it got changed to tomatovinegar!
