There’s no denying that a Disney World vacation can be an expensive one!
That’s why we’re always looking for ways to help YOU make the most of your money during your vacations! It’s important to know what the best values are, and just what your money can get you. So, today we’re sharing the best ways to spend $20 in each Disney World park! What are we spending our money on? Well, FOOD of course!!
You’ll find some really great snacks throughout Disney World, but some of them can be pretty pricey! When it comes to food, here are some of the BEST ways to spend $20!
Magic Kingdom
Gaston’s Tavern
Over in Fantasyland, you’ll find Gaston’s Tavern! Now, we’re sure Gaston would boast this is one of the best places to eat in all of Magic Kingdom, nay, Disney World 😉. And, we wouldn’t totally disagree with him! There are some really awesome options on the menu that we’ve been recommending for years. $20 can get you a whole bunch of them!
Two of the staples from Gaston’s Tavern are the GIANT Cinnamon Roll ($5.99) and the yummy LeFou’s Brew ($5.79). The Cinnamon Roll is filled with sugary, cinnamon-y (that’s a word, right?) deliciousness. And don’t forget to ask for an extra cup of icing!
LeFou’s Brew is a frozen drink that incorporates the flavors of apple, marshmallow, and passion fruit/mango. Some people love this drink, others hate it, and some are just neutral. It’s basically a frozen apple juice slushy. We think it’s pretty tasty! But, it is the “signature” drink at this spot and is a fun addition to Fantasyland. If you’ve never tried it, you might want to give it a shot!
Last fall, Gaston’s introduced another exciting treat — the Grey Stuff Cupcake (aka The Master’s Cupcake) ($5.49). This cupcake is JUST like the one previously served at Be Our Guest Restaurant. It’s got “The Grey Stuff” which is a cookies-and-cream mousse, on top of a chocolate cake base. The Grey Stuff is light and creamy, the chocolate sponge is rich and moist — it’s absolutely DELICIOUS (although a bit small).
Want to try them all? You could snag all 3 of these great items from Gaston’s Tavern all for just under $20! Money well spent!
Sleepy Hollow
Sleepy Hollow is a SOLID pick for some tasty park snacks. But it’s perhaps best known in recent years for its awesome waffle sandwiches! You can find both sweet and savory options here, including the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich ($10.49) and the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich ($8.29). The Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich is a fan-favorite and it’s a BIG portion. A yummy fresh-made waffle, a WHOLE LOT of Nutella, and fresh fruits — what’s not to love?!
If you’re looking for something extra sweet, you can grab a scoop of ice cream from Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Tomorrowland, combine it with the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich, and make the ULTIMATE waffle ice cream sandwich. This is a DFB hack that makes us especially proud!!
On its own, the waffle sandwich will set you back $8.29. The addition of ice cream costs $5.49. So, for well under $20 you could have a ridiculously delicious sweet treat!
Click here to read more about this hack!
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
Looking for more savory options with pretty good portion sizes? Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe has quite a few options. Some of the best values on the menu are the Fajita Platter and Rice Bowls, which you can get for less than $15 each.
This is a solid quick-service spot that won’t make you feel like you’re shelling out a whole bunch of money for a tiny meal. While the fantastic toppings bar is gone at the moment, be sure to customize your order and ask for the toppings you’d like!
Friar’s Nook
Friar’s Nook is known for its tater tot creations! They’re very hearty and filling, making them a pretty good value for what they cost. You can get the Creamy Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Tots for $10.99. It’s a gooey, cheesy, carb-filled delight.
And, we’ve got another good money-saving tip for Friar’s Nook. You can order a side of tots, along with a side of cheese sauce (or plastic cheese, as we like to call it), for $5.29, which is cheaper than the option on the kids’ menu that essentially gives you the exact same snack.
Read more about our money-saving cheese tip here!
The Plaza Restaurant
The Plaza is a table-service restaurant you’ll find at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. The Plaza Loaded Fries from here are *spectacular* and they give you a pretty decent portion too. This dish consists of french fries topped with melted cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato. (Be sure to ask for a side of ranch dressing!) YYYYUUUUUUUMMMM. They’ll cost ya $9.
And if there’s room for dessert (you’ve GOT to leave room for dessert!!), you can also add on an Original Banana Split for $10. That gives you a savory snack and a dessert for just around $20!
Main Street Confectionery
The Main Street Confectionery is one of the first things you encounter as you make your way down Main Street, U.S.A. The sweet smells waft onto Main Street (in ways you don’t even realize!!), drawing you in to check out what sugary offerings they’re baking up that day.
For $20, you can try a whole selection of iconic Disney treats, like surprising new cupcake flavors, Mickey-shaped marshmallow wands, themed cupcakes, and more. Some of the items there can be a bit too sweet (in our opinion) or pretty basic (but cute for Instagram). Overall, the best tip we can give you is just to know yourself, the flavors you’re looking for, and choose wisely to make sure you’re spending that $20 on treats you’ll really enjoy!
The Confectionery is currently closed for refurbishment — click here to check out more details!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Creature Comforts
Move over Gaston, another massive cinnamon roll is making it onto this list! At Creature Comforts, you can find the Colossal Mickey Cinnamon Roll. And believe us when we say it’s called “colossal” for a reason! This treat is totally sharable, which makes it a good value. Plus, it has MICKEY EARS, so duh — it’s awesome.
For $7.49, you’ve got breakfast or a midday snack for two! Not to mention, it’s super delicious with all that soft and buttery goodness. You can also find it at Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery when that spot is open.
Pongu Pongu
Located in Pandora — The World of Avatar, Pongu Pongu serves up some of Animal Kingdom’s most noteworthy snacks. You can order the Colossal Pretzel, which similar to the aforementioned Colossal Cinnamon Roll, is very shareable. It’s soft, chewy, perfectly salted, and — the best part — it comes with a BEER CHEESE SAUCE!!! You can snag this treat for $10.49.
You’ll also find the Pongu Lumpia at this spot, which is basically a spring roll filled with pineapple and cream cheese! This tends to be a love-it-or-leave-it type of dessert, but if you love pineapple and cream cheese it might be something you’ll really enjoy. This treat costs just $3.29!
If you’re looking for a drink that’s beautiful and delicious, then there’s one other thing at Pongu Pongu that you’ve gotta try. The Night Blossom is a frozen drink that is just as tasty as it is pretty! The drink is made of a mix of Limeade with apple and desert pear flavors, all topped off with passion fruit popping boba balls. This, in many ways, is the signature drink of Pandora. It’s priced at $5.99.
You can get all three of these snacks for JUST under $20! They’re a great option if you aren’t hungry enough for a full meal and are just looking to share some yummy snacks with friends.
Eight Spoon Cafe
Eight Spoon Cafe has a whole selection of Baked Macaroni & Cheese creations, but the one we really want to highlight here is the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese! This dish is cheesy, carb-y, comfort food that is pretty filling. Rich meaty baked pasta may not be your best option during an especially hot day in Animal Kingdom though, so just keep that in mind!
You can grab this for $6.79. While Eight Spoon Cafe remains temporarily closed, you can find a similar (albeit larger and slightly more expensive) option at Flame Tree Barbecue. Their version of the Baked Mac & Cheese with Pulled Pork is priced at $11.99 and is topped with an onion ring and coleslaw!!
Dino-Bite Snacks
When you’re looking for something sweet, it can be hard to convince yourself that $6 is worth it for something like a basic cupcake. No need to worry — over at Dino-Bite Snacks, you’ll find a unique dessert that’s just under $7, delicious, and pretty large! We’re talking Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Sandwiches, my friends. The really fun part here though is they tend to have a specialty flavor! Our favorite is the Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwich! Yes, we know it looks like it’s covered in Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, but we promise it’s not.
This was available around Valentine’s Day. We’ve also had mint chocolate chip sammies and more. The classic flavor though, if a fun option isn’t going on, is chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream. Truly, we give this ice cream sandwich a 10/10 — it’s one of our favorite Disney World treats! $6.99 might seem like a lot for an ice cream sandwich, but this one’s very tasty and big enough to share (we’ve shared it with 3 adults that just wanted a small snack and still been plenty satisfied!).
Mr. Kamal’s
Over in Asia, Mr. Kamal’s serves up small bites like Hummus with Pita and Chicken Dumplings. But, on the menu, you’ll also find Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries. We LOVE these fries! What makes them especially unique is all the different dipping sauces you can try with them!
The last time we visited, however, the fries were only being served with Curried Honey Mustard and Korean Chili Ketchup. So, your options have gotten a little bit more limited here, but still miles above standard ketchup. While we missed the variety of sauce options we were used to, these were still delicious as always! You can snag these for $5.99.
Satu’li Canteen
And finally, we end our snack tour in Animal Kingdom back in Pandora for another menu item that’s worth your $$$! The Cheeseburger Steamed Pods from Satu’li Canteen are a big favorite of ours (and many other people). And yes, they include all the flavors you’d typically find in a cheeseburger, right down to the pickles.
The pods themselves are pretty filling. Plus, they come with vegetable slaw and vegetable chips for the adults; and chips, an orange, and a drink for kids. This is a huge “YESSSS” in our books!! You can get 2 pods on the regular menu for $11.49, or one pod on the kids’ menu for $7.99. Wanna make em at home? We got a recipe for that too!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Woody’s Lunch Box
Woody’s Lunch Box has a LOT of memorable items on the menu. But, one thing it’s especially known for is its Totchos — AKA tater tot nachos. And YES, there are as legit as they sound! These tater tots are covered in beef and bean chili, shredded cheese, signature Queso, corn chips, and sour cream. And, there’s even a plant-based option!
These are a deliciously large portion, the tots and chips have a great crunch, and the mix of flavors with all of the toppings and ingredients is phenomenal!
Click here to see how to make totchos at home!
Another menu staple at Woody’s Lunch Box are those Lunch Box Tarts! These are basically glorified Pop-Tarts, but in the best way possible. Right now, some of the flavor options available include Chocolate-Hazelnut, Lemon-Blueberry, and Raspberry!
These treats are adorable, a great size, and they have a nice balance of sweet and tart!
The Totchos will set you back $8.99, and each Lunch Box Tart costs $4.29. So, for under $20 you could get both of these treats and maybe even sneak in an extra Box Tart so you can try more flavors!
The Hollywood Brown Derby
Right now, the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is only serving up cocktails and other drinks. But normally, you’d also be able to find small plates on the menu. In the past, one of those small plates was in fact a petit version of the famous Hollywood Brown Derby Cobb Salad.
We’ve talked about this salad countless times and it really is that good. With classic ingredients like Spit-Roasted Turkey, Finely Chopped Greens, Bacon, Egg, Tomatoes, Avocado, Chives, Crumbled Blue Cheese, and Cobb Dressing, this salad is a home-run. It’s fresh, delicious, and full of a variety of flavors. Right now, you can’t get the petit version at Brown Derby Lounge, but you can get a full-sized portion over at The Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant for $18. And it is WELL worth the cash.
Oga’s Cantina
Oga’s Cantina is one of the spots in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that many consider to be an essential pitstop. This bar is incredibly immersive and churns out unique drinks inspired by the films. Now, like most Disney World cocktails, these drinks aren’t necessarily cheap. But, we do think visiting this spot at least once is a must-do, especially for major Star Wars fans.
Where else can you find a drink that makes your mouth numb (SERIOUSLY, IT DOES!), or a tiki glass in the shape of a Porg? Most of these drinks will cost you somewhere between $15-$20, but you’re also getting a really unique experience as well.
Click here to see our full review of Oga’s Cantina in Disneyland (You’ll find this spot in both Disneyland and Disney World).
Ronto Roasters
Also in Galaxy’s Edge is Ronto Roasters, which serves up a few items including the iconic Ronto Wrap! What is a Ronto Wrap you ask? Well, it’s a pita wrap filled with roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, peppercorn sauce, and a tangy slaw.
The sausage here is SUPER flavorful and delicious, and the coleslaw and peppercorn sauce compliment the wrap really well. These wraps are filling, yummy, and truly one of the signature snacks in this land. They are SO SO good. And, they just added some new vegetarian options to the menu too!
If you haven’t tried this wrap already, you should consider making a pitstop here during your next trip! One wrap will cost you about $13.
BaseLine Tap House
BaseLine Tap House has a great, relaxed feel among the hustle and bustle of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you’re looking for some delicious snacking, the California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate here is a FANTASTIC choice. For $10, you get a selection of cheese, meat, bread, and extras like pickles, mustard, and grapes. Right now, the menu online describes it as including Toma Farmstead Cheese, Point Reyes Original Blue Cheese, Laura Chenel’s Sonoma Goat Cheese, Chorizo and Calabrese Salami, Cornichons, Grapes and Toasted Baguettes. YUM.
For us, it’s those cheeses that really MAKE this plate. From bold and potent, to more creamy and salty, there are some fantastic cheesy options here. Pair it with one of their many beers on tap and you’ve got yourself a satisfying (and filling) way to spend $20!
ABC Commissary
Last year, ABC Commissary got a BIG menu revamp and had a MAJOR comeback. We were so pleasantly surprised to find quite a few unique and delicious options there. One of the best things you can find on the menu at ABC Commissary right now is the Shrimp Tacos. These tacos come topped with cabbage slaw, chipotle mayo, and mango salsa, and are served with Mexican Rice and black beans.
The tacos are full of big, juicy shrimp and there’s an extra kick from the chipotle mayo (pro tip: order an extra cup of the spicy mayo, you can thank us later). This dish tasted great and filled us right up! You can grab it for $12.99.
Trolley Car Cafe
At Trolley Car Cafe, the Starbucks location in Hollywood Studios, you can find a DFB favorite — the beloved Carrot Cake Cookie. This iconic treat features two carrot cake “cookies” sandwiched together with a layer of cream cheese frosting in between. For $3.99, this is a treat you CAN’T miss. This is a cream cheese frosting lover’s DREAM.
And that’s not the only iconic treat you can find at Trolley Car Cafe. There’s also the Peanut Butter Crunch Cupcake, which is pretty much the same as one of our all-time favorites — the Butterfinger Cupcake. This treat is made of a Chocolate Cupcake topped with Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting, covered with a Peanut Butter Candy Shell.
And in true Disney fashion, it’s topped with two chocolate Mickey ears. We previously spotted it at Rosie’s All-American Cafe, but it’s a resident of Trolley Car Cafe for now. If you love peanut butter, get this NOW! You can grab it for $4.99.
So, altogether, you’ll pay just under $10 for both of these delicious treats and get the ultimate sugar rush (but it’ll be totally worth it)!
Backlot Express
Another DFB favorite is the Wookiee Cookie! Similar to the Carrot Cake Cookie, this is another cookie sandwich. It’s got two Oatmeal Cookies filled with Vanilla Cream Filling in between, and a Milk Chocolate bandolier on top in true Chewbacca fashion!
The filling is similar to a whoopie pie center (but airier) and it pairs PERFECTLY with the oatmeal cookies, which are nice and chewy.
This is another one that you should definitely add to your Disney snack bucket list! It costs $5.99.
Tune-In Lounge
Although Tune-In Lounge is still temporarily closed, one of our favorites on the 50’s Prime Time menu that you could also get at the lounge in the past was the rich and flavorful Fried Herb and Garlic Cheese. It’s served alongside toasted bread, fruit, and raspberry sauce, and it is SO delicious. Fried cheese? Yeah, count us in!
Then, naturally, you’ve gotta balance something savory with something sweet. That’s where the Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake comes into play. Besides the witty Cast Member banter, this milkshake is one of the most talked-about things from 50’s Prime Time and its lounge.
Right now, you can still find this iconic shake on the menu at 50’s Prime Time Cafe. The fried cheese is off the menu for now, but we’re fingers crossed it makes a reappearance soon! Don’t miss your chance to give these a try!
Or, you can try to make the PB&J shake at home! Click here to see how!
Hollywood Scoops
Now, this last one in Hollywood Studios is more of an honorable mention because we don’t know how long it will be around. Recently, we encountered a Mickey Waffle Platter from Hollywood Scoops!
You might be thinking, “what makes these Mickey waffles so special?” WELL, these are no ordinary Mickey waffles. NO, these are BLUEBERRY Mickey Waffles!!! And these delicious treats are served with Whipped Cream, Syrup, and Strawberry Compote. We seriously loved the addition of the blueberries to this classic Disney snack.
As it stands, these waffles aren’t available every day though. Hollywood Scoops serves breakfast until 11 AM, and the waffles will only be available on particularly busy days. So, keep an eye out for ’em during your next trip to Hollywood Studios! The platter costs $9.50 and comes with three waffles.

EPCOT
Karamell-Küche
Ever found yourself walking past the Germany Pavilion in EPCOT and smell the sweet and enticing scent of caramel that somehow makes you feel hungry even if you literally just finished eating a giant meal? You have Karamell-Küche to thank for that! This shop specializes in caramel treats of all kinds. If it is delicious and can be dipped in caramel, you might just find it here!
Here, $20 can get you a nice assortment of treats! And that’s probably pretty helpful because you’re likely going to have trouble deciding what to choose. Some of our favorite items that have been available in the past include caramel cupcakes, caramel cookies, and (of course) the caramel corn they’re so famous for! The treats can sometimes change though, so just be sure to see what’s available when you visit.
Sommerfest
Sommerfest reopened soon after the parks did last summer, but it has a much more limited menu. Right now, the beloved Nudel Gratin is not currently on the menu. But if/when it returns, savory snackers will definitely want to give it a try!
It may sound like a simple treat, as it is essentially an ultra-cheesy baked slab of macaroni and cheese. BUT, we think it’s truly a thing of beauty. We’re talking a serious contender for the BEST mac & cheese in all of Disney World here. It used to be priced at $3.49, and we seriously hope it will make a reappearance VERY soon!
La Cava del Tequila
La Cava del Tequila is one of our favorite hidden gems in all of Disney World. Tucked inside of the Mexico Pavilion, this spot serves up some seriously yummy margaritas. But, you can also typically get light snacks here like chips and guacamole, or chips and Queso (though the queso is currently unavailable!).
You can even get margaritas with some truly unique flavors here, like avocado!
Just be sure to see what light snacks and margaritas are available when you visit, as the availability of specific items are subject to change. But, if you’re looking for a delicious way to spend $20, grab some chips and queso from here (if available) and a unique margarita of your choice. DELISH!
L’Artisan des Glaces
Over in the France Pavilion, you can indulge in two fabulous desserts for just under $20! First, you can grab the Ice Cream Martini, which comes with 2 scoops of ice cream or sorbet in a martini glass, along with a shot of Grand Marnier, Whipped Cream Vodka, or Rum. It’s sweet, boozy, totally Instagrammable, customizable (which is fun), and overall a total delight! You could seriously create some unique and SUUUPER tasty creations with this treat. These are generally priced around $11.97.
And, you won’t want to miss out on the Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich, which is also available at this spot. The treat is made with a scoop of ice cream sandwiched between two macarons for $4.69! These flavors can change seasonally so be sure to check on what’s available when you visit.
In the past, we’ve seen Raspberry Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches, a Christmas Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich, and more offered here! After all those sweet snacks, you might need to move on to something more savory, and our next item might be JUST the thing!
Les Halles Boulangerie and Patisserie
Our quest for something savory brings us to Les Halles, also in the France Pavilion! When available, the Creme de Brie is worth ALL. THE. DOLLARS. This dish is made of a bread bowl filled with warm and creamy brie cheese! Life-changing. Iconic. Incredible. Seriously, this might be one of the most delicious snacks you’ve ever seen.
All of your cheese and carb dreams will come true with this special treat. It typically costs around $9, but you do get a BOWL of cheese (and that “bowl?” Fresh baked bread!). Be sure to see if it is available during your next trip!
Refreshment Port
Another cheesy delight in EPCOT is Poutine from Refreshment Port! You can find Traditional Poutine at this spot, which includes beef gravy and cheese curds atop a bed of french fries.
But, you’ll also want to keep an eye out for more limited offerings that tend to pop up during some EPCOT festivals. Right now for the Flower and Garden Festival, they’re serving up a plant-based Italian Sausage and Peppers Poutine. (Spoiler alert: we were actually surprised at how much we liked that one!)
Whichever option you go for, you’ll get a heaping serving of fries and toppings generally for less than $10!
Le Cellier Steakhouse
Now, this is certainly not the first time we’ve told you to go to Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion. And it also isn’t the first time we’ve told you to try the Cheddar Cheese Soup. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but if you’re looking for some of the best ways to spend $20 in EPCOT — the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup should be on your list!! It’s rich and cheesy, with a faint smokey bacon taste. It’s an item we HIGHLY recommend you grab whenever you can! The soup is priced at $13.
You’re served three kinds of fresh bread here too (including pretzel rolls!) perfect for dunking up all that creamy soup. Pair it with a glass of La Fin du Monde or white wine, and you’ve just made an excellent pairing for just over $20.
Want to make the soup at home? Click here to see a recipe!
Yorkshire County Fish Shop
In the U.K. Pavilion, Yorkshire County Fish Shop is the home of some seriously delicious Fish & Chips. You can get a big serving of the classic British dish for $11.49! The batter on the fish is nice and crunchy, the fish is deliciously light, mild, and flaky, and those thick-cut fries bring that salty, crunchy but also fluffy goodness. Basically, it’s FANTASTIC!
Grab a pint to wash it all down, and you’ve got yourself a staple British combo for just under $20!
EPCOT Festivals
And finally, we couldn’t make this list without mentioning the EPCOT Festivals! If you happen to be visiting EPCOT during a festival (which is VERY likely now considering how long the festivals are running!!), grabbing a combination of any of our Best of the Fest items from any of the festivals is a GREAT way to spend $20!
Here are some links to our most recent Best of the Fest lists:
- Best of the Fest for the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts
- Best of the Fest for the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival
- Best of the Fest for the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
- Best of the Fest for the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays
We’ll highlight a few items for you here though (as if you weren’t already drooling enough)!!
Sunshine Griddle at the 2021 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival had some of our favorite eats from the whole festival! It’s basically a BRUNCH BOOTH! The Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites with CANDIED BACON were swoon-worthy (and only $4.29). And the Shrimp and Grits ($7.25) were some of the best we’ve ever had! For less than $15, you can get both of these dishes!
At the 2021 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, Pop Eats served up an awesome Tomato Soup with a French Onions and Bacon Grilled Cheese. For $5.25, you got a little can of soup and half a grilled cheese sandwich! The soup had a wonderful kick of flavor, the sandwich was an elevated grilled cheese, and the combo was PERFECT for dipping.
Another winner from Festival of the Arts was the Mediterranean Flatbread from Mosaic Canteen. Topped with Za’atar Pesto, artichokes, roasted red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, and fennel cream, this was a big portion for just $5.75 and was JAM-PACKED with flavor!
And from the 2020 Festival of the Holidays (and years before), we loved the Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl from Bavaria Holiday Kitchen. Yes, we know, another bread bowl of cheese. SHOCKER. 😉 For $8.25, you can get a whole bread bowl of melted cheese along with steamed vegetables and potatoes. YUM!
Hopefully, these items make their way back to future EPCOT festivals!

Lots of great stuff to try if I ever get in to the parks. Without a FL resident annual pass an park hopper. I doubt it will be there in 2021…
