We don’t know about you, but we’re in the mood to chow down on a cupcake.

Luckily, we’ve found ourselves and P & J’s Southern Takeout at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, and there’s a rotating selection of tasty treats here. We’ve already tried a pineapple push pop and a hazelnut coffee today…so what could be next?

Well, we opted for the current specialty cupcake — and the flavor up for grabs is Carrot Cake! You’ll find all your expected ingredients in here: spiced carrot cake, cream cheese filling, buttercream icing, and a drizzling of ooey-gooey caramel that is SO Insta-worthy. Doesn’t it look so pretty?

Good news! It tasted JUST as good as it looks. The spiced carrot cake was deliciously moist, with teeny tiny carrot pieces sprinkled in. We loved all the flavor from the spices, too! And the cream cheese filling complemented the cake so well.

We will say the buttercream frosting on top may not be for everyone. It was very thick and sickly sweet. We would have preferred a cream cheese frosting instead! But the caramel drizzle MORE than made up for it.

Overall, we could not get enough of this cupcake. And if you cut ‘er open, you’ll see just how moist and crumbly it is on the inside! Yup, we highly recommend this one…

If you don’t like carrot cake (or spiced cake, for that matter!), this is probably not the treat that’ll turn you into a fan. But anyone else — kids and adults alike — will probably love this little dessert! Grab it for $4.99 at P & J’s Southern Takeout and wash it down with a big ol’ glass of milk.
