Disneyland is reopening SOON, and boy have we been busy getting ready!
We’ve already walked you through how to book your tickets, make your Park Pass reservations, reserve a hotel room, and book dining. Phew! But you’ll notice that our experiences all had one thing in common…and it’s a HUGE tip if you’re trying to snag your spot in Disneyland ASAP.
We’ve waited in our fair share of virtual queues while we’ve prepped our return to Disneyland. And yup: the waits have been long. But we’ve also noticed, strangely enough, that your wait times tend to vary based on HOW you access the virtual queue.
When making Park Pass reservations and dining reservations, we joined the virtual queue on our laptop and on the Disneyland app on our phone. And BOTH times, we moved through faster on the app — despite joining that queue after the one on our laptop. When we booked our dining reservations today, we were successful on the app in less than 15 minutes…
…while on our laptop, our wait was quoted at over an hour. In fact, we were able to get through the mobile queue, make our reservation, AND change that time on the app while our laptop still showed this screen.
Now when it comes down to it, the laptop time still wasn’t as bad as our wait for those dreaded A Touch of Disney tickets. We were through the virtual queue on our laptop in about an hour — but the mobile process was MUCH easier.
So if you’re trying to book Disneyland tickets of any kind, we highly recommend using the Disneyland app. While there’s no guarantee, you’ll probably be in and out MUCH quicker (and minus a headache) than if you used your laptop. Or, you can try both at the same time, just in case! Either way, good luck to ya.
We’ll keep bringing you all the latest tips and updates on Disneyland’s reopening. It’s coming up SOON, guys! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.

The morning reservations became available, it was pretty funny… I que’d up all three of my laptops, my phone and my ipad 🙂 The soonest was my second laptop (go figure- not the first?) and that was 8 1/2 hours. The good news is that we got the park and room reservations we wanted, so can’t wait to get to Disneyland finally!!!!
