Hello from a VERY sunny day in Walt Disney World!
We’re strollin’ around the world today and stopped for a snack, as we do, this time popping over to the Mexico Pavilion. We heard there was a new snack in town, so we had to check it out.
Since the sun is out in force, it’s getting a little toasty. And nothing says, “refreshing snack on a hot day,” quite like…corn?
Ok, so maybe this isn’t your first thought for a refreshing snack, but it’s new at Choza de Margarita and we had to try it! The Elote is an ear of sweet corn covered in chipotle aioli, queso cotija, and Tajin chile-lime powder.
While this totally could’ve been spicier for our taste, this corn was really tasty. The flavors of the toppings combine really well to give a balance of sweet, spicy, and creamy and overall make this a way more filling snack than we expected! It’s also great to grab and take as you continue to make your way around the world — just remember, you have to be stationary and distanced from guests to eat right now in Disney World!
This is definitely a pricier snack option, ringing in at $7, but it is very filling for what you get. If you’re after something with a little more kick to it, this might not be your best choice, but it certainly is flavorful. If you want to give the Elote a try yourself, you can grab it at Choza de Margarita in the Mexico Pavillion! Also, warning: it’s heavier than it looks. A good Mexican street corn should have a nice char to it…just sayin’!
