It’s been a busy day in Magic Kingdom, and we’re stopping for a quick bite!
While far from authentic Italian, Pinocchio Village Haus is a great place to eat if you’re in the mood for a carb overload. From pizza to pasta to bread, they’ve got it ALL. And now, we’re here to try a returning menu item.
If you’ve visited Pinocchio Village Haus recently, you may have had some of their breadsticks! Well, these actually weren’t the OG bread up for grabs here. Wayyy back when, this restaurant offered pesto knots, which were replaced by regular knots and then those breadsticks. But guess what? The knots are BACK, baby!
You’ll get 2 garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce for $4.99. We do wanna point out that these knots are quite a bit smaller than the old ones here, or than the ones you can get at Pizzafari in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But let’s give ’em a taste!
These were fluffy and buttery on the inside, as all knots should be. However, there wasn’t much garlic flavor in there at all. In fact, the taste was a bit bland — which was disappointing, considering just how delicious the old pesto knots were. If you want real garlic-y goodness, you’ll want to pass on these.
These garlic knots are a safe bet if you want something small and carb-y. But if you want a larger option, the breadsticks are still on the menu, too (for the same price!). Remember, these garlic knot newbies are much tinier than their predecessors!
As usual, Pinocchio Village Haus didn’t wow us, but these little knots could make for a good quick bite. We’ll keep bringing you the latest Disney food news, so stay tuned to DFB!

I have always said, the weakest link in the Disney experience is their food. Sometimes you have to wonder if they do any market research or taste testing before launching a new product or re-introducing a former guest favorite with some changes. The sometimes seem to not care about what the present to guests by maybe thinking the guests will eat anything once. Bad show Disney….

Ken. I think you hit the nail on the head.
They KNOW people will buy it so why should they make it good?
It’s like Tony’s Italian restaurant at the front of Main street.
It is ranked as perhaps the worst restaurant in disney. The food is bland out-of-a-can flavors.
Why don’t they improve the food?
Well duh. Because it’s consistently booked up.
Disney knows that no matter how good the food or the quality of said food… people will buy it.
So why make an effort?

I have to agree with Ken’s comment, especially at Magic Kingdom. We have tried so many food items at MK and have found nothing to our liking. We now just hop on the monorail and head over to Polynesian for food whenever we visit MK. Between Captain Cook’s or Kona Cafe, there are so many better options at that resort and makes for a great respite from the park!

Magic kingdom is fast pace food not for mature older vacationers . We have medical problems the carbs alone can make us sick . If you can bring your own food into the it would be healthier. People love carbs it is simple to make in the parks and people will buy it . If Disney would have other healthy foods it would make me and others more at ease to be able to eat and stay in the parks longer .
