We’ve seen lots of small projects around Disney World lately!
Cinderella Castle
From repainting to adding a pop of color, Disney has been busy getting the parks ready for the BIG 50th anniversary this year. And in addition to those little tweaks, there have been major projects like Cinderella Castle’s iconic transformation! But today, we’re taking a short trip away from Magic Kingdom to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where we noticed a tiny change.
Even though the EPCOT monorail is not currently running, the archway is sporting a fresh new look! For reference, it used to be purple and green, just like the Magic Kingdom sign below.

But here’s what we’re rockin’ with now! The blue and yellow reminds us of the colors popping up around Magic Kingdom for the anniversary — and we’re big fans!
So bright!

I haven’t been to Disney in 10 years so I have no memory of this. I legitimately thought the old picture was the new. I think the new looks terrible actually. The washed out colors just do not translate well here.
Do you think the Monorail to EPCOT will be running for Oct. 1st? I’m kind of hoping it will be for all those coming to celebrate the 50th! I will be there the Sunday after Thanksgiving for the next week and coming in with people who have NEVER been there before, only DL & DCA.
Is there any talk of when the Epcot monorail will begin running again? Or if it will run again.
The mono rail sign looks great love the color s did not like the other colors . I hope no one wanted to ride the monorail I guess they have to walk or take the buses. Disney has 6 months before the 50 Anniversary October . It will all look great Disney has a schedule to make sure everything looks great .
