It’s not even summer yet, but we’re already thinking about spooky season!
Even though Disney has not yet announced if Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will return this year, fall remains a popular time to visit the parks. There are plenty of pumpkin-inspired treats, the weather is great, and you’ve got a chance to see some pretty cool characters! But if you want to visit the parks on October 31st, you’d better start planning.
Disney currently requires a Park Pass reservation in addition to a valid theme park ticket in order to visit. These reservations tend to go FAST, especially for holidays or other peak times! Such is the case for Halloween at Magic Kingdom, which is full for both Theme Park Ticket Guests…
…and Resort Guests.
Annual Passholders, on the other hand, do still have full availability. But that could disappear soon, so act fast!
If you wanted a Park Pass for Halloween and feel like you’ve missed your chance, don’t worry! Disney tends to release more passes as time goes on. Keep checking the availability calendar — and we’ll keep you posted here, too. And if you can’t get a pass for Magic Kingdom, you can always Park Hop over after 2PM, should capacity permit.
Good luck snagging that reservation!

I would love to book a Disney October trip but I’m so confused! When you try to book a hotel online, almost all of them show zero availability! It’s like All Stars at $200 per night or Grand Floridian at $800 per night. Are the hotels all truly booked up? Is Disney just not releasing availability at them yet? How is one to book a trip with all of this confusion??

If they do Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, will a ticket to that event be enough or do you think we will need a park ticket & pass as well?
Mr. John says
Disney wants you to book Halloween passes for the parks . How good is it going to be in October hopefully good but it could be the same low crowds and no snacks . To spend this type of money for not much I would think about it . Disney wants you to book parks cruise and so on for them to make more money but people are not interested in being vaccinated . When they enter the park you have to provided a vaccinated card to prove you are safe to be with others . Then the chances are going to be very, very less for people to get the virus .

Chris, because the Halloween Party is already park- and date-specific, it seems like that would be sufficient. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out.

LC, if there’s availability, you should see it. We don’t really know if there are limited capacities being applied or if there are legitimately full Resorts, but I would recommend you keep checking to see if things open up.
