We’ve been enjoying May the 4th today, but there’s LOTS more going on around Disney World!
Magic Kingdom is undergoing a mini-transformation for Disney World’s 50th anniversary, from Cinderella Castle’s new look to other subtle changes around the park. And near Main Street, U.S.A., The Plaza Restaurant is getting some changes, too!
We know The Plaza Restaurant for its classic eats like club sandwiches and meatloaf…and its ice cream sundaes, of course! And today, this dining spot has debuted a brand-new menu.
While some classics like the Plaza Loaded Fries are still up for grabs, the expanded new menu has quite a few added offerings!
For appetizers, we’re seeing Seared Crab Cakes, Chili, a BLT Salad, and more. Previously, your only options were a Wedge Salad or those Plaza Loaded Fries.
Entree-wise, we’re seeing LOTS of changes. First of all, we’ve got a new plant-based burger: the Chili-Impossible Burger!
The Bangers and Mash have disappeared from the menu, and new offerings include a Fried Chicken Sandwich, Plaza Turkey Club, and Roast Beef Au Jus.
And while the new menu board doesn’t list any desserts, there are still plenty for you to enjoy!
The Original Banana Split, Brownie Sundae, and The Plaza Restaurant Sundae are all listed on the My Disney Experience app…
…as are the Signature Chocolate Cake, Dark Chocolate-Banana Bread Pudding with Soy Milk Frozen Dessert, and Milk Shake.
The menu here was pretty limited before, with only 2 appetizers and 5 entrees, so we’re happy to see it expanding! We’ll be sure to keep you updated with plenty more Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB.

Let’s hope the strawberry salad comes back some day!

Absolutely *love* seeing the more creative plant-based options! As a vegetarian, eating at Disney parks could sometimes be a challenge, particularly several years ago. Can’t wait to come back and eat my way through the parks! 🙂

Do they have a children’s menu?
