Hello from EPCOT!
Our DFB reporters are constantly visiting all the Disney World theme parks to see what’s new and bring you all the latest updates. During a recent trip to EPCOT we discovered some UNIQUE chip flavors (Texas Grilled BBQ chips anyone?), got a look at some EPCOT construction updates, and found that a part of an attraction that had been REMOVED is back! Ready to go on a virtual trip to EPCOT with us to see what’s new? Alright then! Let’s go!
EPCOT Food Updates
House of Good Fortune, China Pavilion
Over in the China pavilion we’ve tried a lot of different chip flavors from the House of Good Fortune. During our most recent trip, we saw that another unique flavor is currently available.
Anyone want some Texas Grilled BBQ Flavored chips?
If you’re looking to grab these unique chips, be sure to stop by the House of Good Fortune and see if they’re available.

EPCOT Construction Updates
Spaceship Earth
Over at Spaceship Earth, Disney is in the process of installing some special lights. As part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, Spaceship Earth will be transforming into a “Beacon of Magic.” New lights will shine across the reflective panels on this park icon, which will connect and look like a starry sky.
We’ve seen Disney installing some of the lights already, but during a recent trip we noticed that more lights appear to have been added to the front of Spaceship Earth!
We can’t wait to see Spaceship Earth once this permanent new nighttime lighting look is complete.

Harmonious
As part of EPCOT’s big transformation, the park is getting a new fireworks show called Harmonious. We’ve been keeping a close eye on all of the work being done on the barges that will be used in this show (they’re pretty hard to miss).
During a recent visit to EPCOT, we saw that the center barge for the new fireworks show had one of its arms lit up in blue at night.
While quite a few Disney fans are not thrilled at the look of these barges in EPCOT’s lagoon, we are interested to see how they’ll look once they can be used as fountains during the day. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates on the work being done here and let you know what we find.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, France Expansion Area
Over in the expansion area of the France pavilion, where Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, La Crepeie de Paris, and more are located (and will soon open), we noticed that the fountain of RATS there was spraying water. We were able to see this as we flew by in the Skyliner.
While this area will not officially open until October 1st, you can walk through some of it and even check out the restrooms there for now.

Other EPCOT Updates
Morocco Pavilion — Relaxation Station
Over in the Morocco Pavilion, a new mask-free relaxation station has been added.
At the time, Cast Members had guests entering and exiting the same way, so just be on the lookout for that. In the relaxation station area, you’ll find certain tables and spots marked with social distancing markers, indicating where guests may sit. Be sure to look for those so you can sit in the right spots, relax, and still stay distanced from others.
While we were walking around the Morocco pavilion, we also saw that the drink and snack cart is still open.
So, whether you’re looking for a snack or a spot to relax, you can head to Morocco!

Frozen Ever After, Norway Pavilion
In Frozen Ever After, we saw that the window to the sauna, where Oaken briefly peeks out, was working again! Back in March, we noticed that this feature had been turned off. At the time, a Cast Members said that it was causing too much congestion in the area, which is a problem for distancing.
But, it looks like it is back up and running again now!
Also, if you haven’t been on Frozen Ever After in a long time, here’s a peek at what the queue looked like during our recent visit.
There are a lot of plexiglass dividers throughout the queue area.
These plexiglass dividers are present in many Disney World queue areas and even on some ride vehicles.
Click here to see how distancing is being handled on each Disney World ride!
Wait Times
If you’re wondering what the wait times were during our recent trip, here’s a quick peek! While we were in the parks during our recent trip, we saw Frozen Ever After had a 45 minute wait…
…Mission: SPACE had a 20 minute wait for green, and 30 minute wait for orange…
…and Spaceship Earth was at a 20 minute wait.
We’ll continue to walk around EPCOT and all the Disney parks to see what’s new and bring those updates to you! Stay tuned for all the latest Disney info.
